Friendly advice for all the English learners out there 🌎...make sure you focus more on clarity as opposed to speed when you practice speaking in English. It’s A LOT more important! 🇨🇦
Thanks a lot Marina. You are one of the best teacher on RU-vid. I love your way of speaking. I find your all videos super intersting . Love from India 🇮🇳.
I like the phrase " to be predicated on" Because I could not find any synonims to based on in the lesson . But now I'm happy to know it by the help of you! Thank you for your all videos that they really help to many non native speakers!)
Amazing class! I guess there is no need to look for another inspiration, and I keep following you, keep learning with you and growing my confidence at speaking as well! Thank you my biggest motivation ❤
2:19 We use "wishy washy' in German as well. It's called 'Wischiwaschi' and basically means the same..I just didn't knew its used that way in english as well.
Thanks a lot Marina. You are one of the best teachers i ever met. Because of these phrases i can be able watch and understand many Hollywood 's movies. Great 👍
I was waiting for your new video mam . I am in grade 10, your student from India. Initially I used to speak very slow in english but after mimicking from your videos , one can say that I speak too fast. Thank you so much for making this masterpiece. Love from India
i'm a native speaker so i don't know why i'm watching this but i can say that all of these words are extremely natural and 100% used in daily conversation. i didn't even know the meaning of ad hoc before watching this so even us natives have something to learn from this! also, this is kind of a newer expression but "zoomies" can also refer to when some dogs or cats get very excited and run all around like crazy. for example you would say "my dog always gets the zoomies when she hears me open her bag of treats."
Hey marina.....love you so much .....because of you my English level is becoming advanced day by day......your videos are awesome and you are adorable too 😊.
Hi. Have been watching and likes your Clips for almosy month now. Really appreciate the simplest way of showing tips and teaching that u use. And i want to ask you, do you have any video u made about IPA ? and if u haven't, please could you make one. I'm just comementing this video, cuz it is the most recent thanks.
Ok I am a native speaker, but it’s interesting to learn how much region affects vocabulary. A lot of these phrases would only fly in cali and basically confuse everyone else.
A “mint” is a place where currency (especially coins) is made. Perhaps the idiom “mint condition” comes from the idea that the item looks best when fresh from the place it is made.
It provides me an impetus ( your speech) i was literally unhinged but now i feel much better , language was getting a wedge between me nd my colleagues 🤣😅😅
Hi, Marina. I wanna ask you one question. Do you have any certificate or diploma about teaching? I just want to teach English online too. Maybe it'll be ok, just know language on B2 level?
Marina, I’m still amazed by you as a person, and wish you all the best, but please make sure that you don’t teach the wrong grammar and pronunciation😢I accidentally discovered another English teaching channel where they point out your mistakes which made me feel so sad and disappointed 😞
In my opinion, it would be a good Idea also to write down all these colloquial-conversational/slang words and phrases also under the video, in written. So that someone, who does not necessarily want to listen to your video from the begining to the end can just zero (for those, who might not know this word, it means concentrate - if I am not mistaken) on the words themselves, without all the examples and explanation. I think it would also make sense to do this retrospectively... I dunno what all your other fans think...guys?
Be My Guest means you are asking someone to stay at your place You can use it formally as well And yeah it's mostly used individually For example- You - When is your flight for LA? Your Friend - Oh it's at 3 today You - What..Be my guest
thank you very much! 🌹💌 I’d been learning language for a long time, but I didn’t know most part of the words! it was nice to hear not only definition, but example. now my quizlet is a little bit more extended 🤩
Amazing video ❤️ I still didn’t watch till the end, a question is floating in my mind: is the pharmacy called drugstore in the US? Because I don’t recall hearing this before.
Hello Marina, good afternoon! I greet you with pleasure in this new time, hoping you are fine in health. You look beautiful in this new video 💖. I liked your new video 😄. Have a good half-week wherever you are. Greetings from Sonora, México 🇲🇽, state "casi fronterizo" with California.
