@@colewlrd1317 Zombies really lost it's identity with Cold War. Even IW and Sledgehammer zombies had passionate people (Lee Ross specifically) behind them, according to Rizzo, who sat down with some of them. Geniunely sad that the "golden age" ended with something of a missed opportunity.

@@Animedumptruck I don't think CW was unfun, I think it lacked identity. Operators are a terrible idea that only really worked in WW2 Zombies because of the nonstop EE quotes from the main cast. The new story didn't work either. Having Samatha and Eddie felt like fan baiting, and the story didn't lend itself to having a cool "twist".

If I had to guess, the flamethrower was probably cut for the sake of performance. In WaW the flamethrower and Molotovs were known to cause the game to lag. Treyarch probably didn't want to repeat that mistake.

One thing I know is that the cut/alternate Hellhound round intro is used in BO1 and BO3 and it is the music that plays during the Kino Der Toten loading screen in public matches instead of the Richtofen radio.

what i've noticed is that some of the wunderwaffe quotes from kino characters are in bo3 chronicles version of kino. Although used in different circumstances (getting a death machine or using a nuke)

it’s crazy to think they were capable of this much content considering they only had a years time to work on the game when IW and Treyarch would swap titles every year. they get 2-3 years nowadays and while they’re able to implement more stuff, black ops 1’s cut content proved that it was WAY ahead of its time in all aspects.

I'm not too sure if they were used before this any at all, but the Ultimus Crew's lines for the Wunderwaffe were eventually used in the Zombies Chronicles remakes of Verruckt and Shi No Numa!

I hate that they threw all of this out and decided to make BO4 and Cold war and Vanguard zombies.. all of these cut stuff gives the feeling of fear and anxiety while playing zombies.. and that is what zombies is all about.. they focused on boss fights and easter eggs more than actual gameplay.. in the past the easter egg was a fun secret you find that you weren’t expecting to find.. now you KNOW there’s an easter egg when the map is announced.

All the flamethrower quotes are amazing but playing so much of it (3+ minutes!) definitely killed the pacing of the video a bit, forgot that there were 35 minutes left. edit: nevermind there's so much more of it. I think you realized it yourself as well lol, seeing the most replayed moment being 5:32 on the progress bar and similar comments saying the same thing

The special infected that was the ox was used in dead ops they ran in a stampede across the arena cutting off parts of the arena for a short period of time it was also possible to kill them but they were extremely tanky and you would lose a life if you were hit by them.

It’s probably a juggernog beta clone like boomjuice and DPTBOOM where for PHDflopper which will easily explain why it was cut. It could’ve also had the energy sap effect like tuff Enuff from the dialogue implying both effects but thinking how jugg is the most op perk ever and is literally a crutch perk even more so in IW zombies with the more damage and stuff I think they did well balancing it.

I dont remember exactly how many but alot of them quotes for the m2 flamethrower got reworked to being used after picking up a nuke power up. Which cool cause at least they still found a way too still use them this why i love this era of treyarch from waw to b2 they used everything or even reused stuff which i really appreciated when devs would do this.

God what id do for every zombies map from WaW to B03 (or 4 but idc really) remastered, combined and put on all consoles, they could even do some shit with transit given the better harware of today, or make a new version. I just want to be able to go through all my favorite maps with updated mechanics, graphics, and guns.

I don't like how easy zombies is now with sliding and running fast and 3 hits to go down. I think black ops had it perfect where perks were worth it and you really had to choose. Waw was awesome but the way the zombies drag you is just terrifying. Other than the drag waw pretty much nailed it.
