Hi all it Jack here, last weekend I went to Exeter to see yet another iconic Railtour with one of my favourite Steam Locomotives ever The Merchant Navy Class (“ 35028 Clan Line”),
I had an Absolute amazing day it was so Spectacular! to see a southern steam locomotive Run its own Route and Own Railway Region, the sound of steam and So iconic.
I saw it at Keynsham as well on its way Back to London Waterloo we will
12th of October 2024 Clan Line Ran a a special Railtour The Atlantic Coast Express From London Waterloo - to Exeter St David’s. In This vid see 35028 Clan line Also there was some
Freight trains too, then we see clan line pulling into Exeter St David’s the weather was brilliant! , She steamed back through by Via Bristol & Keynsham , Bath, Westbury, Crewkerne
Background on The ACE,
In 1924 ther was a Express Service called (“Atlantic Coast Express”) known as the ‘ACE Ran by The LSWR London & South Western Railway & Southern Railway Named in 1926 the route ran from from London Waterloo & Devon - North Cornwall to Padstow.
