In January I was out in Portugal with Volkswagen reviewing their 2019 VW Golf Gti TCR road car, they very kindly offered me the opportunity to drive their VW Golf Gti TCR Race Car, I filmed it for you guys. Not much talking, I was focussed and just trying to absorb everything...

Wow Joe, those 2 videos of the Golf TCR road car and race care were some of the best on you tube.As a proud owner of the TCR with the performance pack it was great to see them out on track and chasing a Golf R , loved it. I hope you will soon review the mk8 Golf R and the Club sport but for now I will enjoy my TCR, thank you .

Great video Joe, and a perfect example of knowing when to keep quiet and let the driving do the talking. The guy you were following knows how to drive - absolutely on the limit and smooth as... no mean feat to keep up with a factory driver regardless of what you are in. Top job.

Im sure you'd lose in the corners to those slicks, but the hp doesn't seem impressive I agree. I wonder if it's because of some racing spec/regulation they have to confirm to.
