Time for some more TLC on the 350Z project car! In today's video I continue working on my project car 350Z! This time I need to fix and paint the rear cross bar cover. This piece new was in the price range of $150-230, and it only cost me $50 in paint plus a few days of work. I started off by sanding and had to epoxy the crack back to one solid piece. After that it was time for bondo, and after a few coats of that with sanding in-between layers then I needed to get ready for primer. I ended up doing about 4 coats of primer before everything looked ready for the body colored paint. I did 4 coats of paint and about 6 coats of clear. The amount of coats will depend on the original condition of the piece so it will vary from project to project. This was a great way to get this piece back to it's original condition and makes it looks way better of course then it was! Stay tuned for more Z projects coming!!
