Hey appreciate the video, I am attempting a brushless hub motor 350w upgrade. I will likely do what you've done if it doesn't work out. I'm unsure whether vesc is needed but I'm unsure which vesc to get.
Bro this is like so much more for not much more money. This is literally the same motor i have been considering, only i had no idea how to mount it. Bending some aluminum sounds like an interesting idea. Or maybe i will weld up a steel 90° plate. I love that we can bring cheaper alternatives to this crowd. Very nice video man. Would love to see a full speed ride video!
Also, it's interesting to hear your ride time of 40 mins. Brushless motors are supposed to be about 20-30% more efficient. Maybe it still is, but it's just so much more powerful that's why the battery is still only making it about 40 mins.
Francisco and Jack are me latest favourites youtubers for crazy cart mods. I've just created a cheap DIY method for extending drift bar for $10 no welding I might create a video for
@@BrandyMullens that's kind of you to say man. Personally I think his videos have better production value so maybe I'll try to step mine up a bit 😅 music seems to help a lot. It would be a nice contribution to make a video, I'd like to see it!
Yeah, these motors really beat up the lead acid packs granted I don't really like to run my batteries below 11v per cell so I have a small window of operating voltage. The nice thing is I can adjust the wattage and amps going to the motors for different tunes and extend that battery life.
