We only had 36 hours to cram in the very best of Abu Dhabi - and it was FREE.
Flying with Etihad meant we were able to book a stopover in a hotel for completely free, and you can too (this message may be time sensitive). Find out more from Etihad themselves here: etihad.vkuz.ne...
During this time, we knew the most important trips needed to be booked, and we used Get Your Guide to go on a half day city tour. gyg.me/FW5KQ4nP
We saw the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which was breathtaking (I have lots of tips about the rules here) and we visited a date shop (UAE is famous for dates), the Heritage Village Centre, which gave a good look around how life used to be - The village has an old world market (souk), Mosque and you can see old artefacts there too, like past fashions.
The driver took us in a lovely limousine to have photos outside of the stunning Rixos hotel, which is an iconic landmark. tui-uk.7cnq.ne...
If we had more time, we would have done more at Yas Island gyg.me/5ZOclyBH but Jasmine did go driving on the track at the F1 ground! gyg.me/6zLJSnVk
We would recommend the Conrad Hotel (Etihad Towers) which is free to go in and walk around in, but we took the lift up to the observation deck at 300, which is a 360-degree view at the 300th floor of this stunning hotel. It cost us £20 each to go up, but that was exchanged for food and drinks at the top. I honestly recommend seeing the sunset from up there, which is what we did. gyg.me/Kc7HXb65
Following that, we headed to the Emirates Palace Hotel, which is famous for serving Gold Leaf coffee. You could only go certain places in there and we had a lovely milkshake and some snacks and listened to a pianist. It was fancy, and stunning and the area looked like something out of the west end.
To get around, we used UBER, which wasn’t expensive. The cars were lovely, cool and clean.
Looking at Soul Beach on Instagram and TikTok, we knew we had to go there. We paid £20 to get a wristband to enter, which got you access to the beach, no towels (thank goodness we took our Microfibre towels amzn.to/3XCaVDX )but the most stunning blue water and white sand you have ever seen in your life. It was stunning. The sea was clear and so warm.
After we got back to our hotel and cleaned up, we managed to find a wonderful coffee shop called Hamton.cafe - in the Cornishe district. Not many places were open as we went in the off season, but check them out as it was one of my highlights, for sure.
I have so much more to share with you all, in regards to information about this incredible place, but I can’t fit it all on here! There is another video with plenty of information coming up.
One last tip: get an ESim. We needed access to the internet while we were out and about and thank goodness we used Airalo to get our ESim. It was so easy to use. Find yours here: airalo.pxf.io/...
This was a very busy trip, but we wanted to see as much as possible while we were in this city. Thank you Etihad for our lovely stay!
