You're very welcome, I enjoy sharing. I do feel like my life is a dream. I can't believe I get to do this. I saw your Scram video and hope you share your adventures some more, even if it's just going to the store because it will be roads we can never travel on. Thank you.
Hi, sounds like a great life you lead. I'm still luvin my Interceptor too. Good to hear you stopped by my channel, as it was you who got me started. Chris (Australia)
Oh such kind words. Thank you. I happen to be putting a new air filter on today, 42,000 mile service. Since I don't have a garage I just replace my K&N filters every time. I was getting oil in my air box. There is a small breather box inside the air box and I found that RTV type seal around the edges had come loose even thought it looked intact. I was cleaning the oil film out of the box every time, not a lot. So today I'm flushing it out with alcohol, pulled the loose sealant off and will try to reseal it. Since there's been oil all up in there I don't have high hopes but I'll give it a go. That's why they have you inspect the "Vent Pipe under air filter box". Thank you so much for watching but most of all the comment. I am so glad you are sharing your Royal Enfield adventures with the world!
@@MeAndMyRoyalEnfield Hi, sorry to hear you are having those problems, i just put my first K&N Filter in mine. No sign of oil in the air box. Maybe look at removing that breather hose. Good luck, Chris
I really enjoy the thought that I am taking people along with me like Itchy Boots, On Her Bike, Rosie and more used to do for me. Thank you for watching and commenting.
As always l thank you for watching and love seeing your comments. I have been wanting to email you for weeks now. You may enjoy RU-vidr, "Tenting In A Trailer". I was so jealous recently she was at Picacho Peak.
Oh gosh I really appreciate the comment and the view. It was so hard keeping 3 years to under 3 hours. You are very welcome! Would love to see a video of your bike!!!!
Oh my, this put a big smile on my face and warmed my heart. Thank you for watching, but most of all the comment. I pray all is well with you. Take care girl 🥓🏍🏕
@@MeAndMyRoyalEnfield Might be a bit easier, or perhaps bulk into 2 years so it doesn’t become redundant or tiresome. Up to you!! Either way I shall indulge by watching 😊
Thank you for commenting and watching. I used to fly rich people around in their business jets and when people asked how I was doing I would say, I'm living the dream, it's just not my dream. Now, I say I'm living the dream, and I think it's mine 😃Thank you.
Hey David I'm right there with you. I've been hiding out from the cold this winter in Raymondville TX and I'm getting itchy sneakers, not boots haha. I'm hoping it warms up in a couple weeks so I can start traveling. Would love to see a video of your Royal Enfield. What do you have? Thanks for watching and commenting.
Congratulations buddy! You’ve had an excellent venture so far! I’m glad we’ve gotten to meet along the way. Thanks for sharing, I watched the whole thing. Of course I particularly loved the Starbase and Rocket Ranch parts.
Thank you so much. I and the algorithm really appreciate the comment. Those Rocket Ranch parts make me realize maybe I've spent too much time in one place. Got too comfortable. May try Florida next winter. But so glad I was there long enough to make the friendships I did make. Glad you were one of them. Maybe I'll see you this summer?
That was a very nice video. Congrats on the 3 years. Mar 18 is my special day. Only a day apart. Sorry for your mom’s passing. My mom passed in January. Stay well and enjoy your journeys Roger.
Yeah, I couldn't believe it had been 3 years. I noticed it the first of the month and took a couple days to come up with the idea I should do a video. It was hard keeping 3 years under 3 hours.
Thank You!!! It was so hard keeping a video about 3 years under 3 hours 🙃 So many things I wanted to put in there, like riding at 11,00 feet in the Rockies, meeting a crazy girl who takes ALL her vacation days at Rocket Ranch 😁 Can't believe I put my dumb ass brother in there twice! Thanks for the view but most of all the comment.
Oh thank you for watching and especially the comment. I love hearing from people I've met along the way. Where did we meet? Who are you? Again, Thank You!
@@JMFLH-e6p Oh! my Jim from the video. Miss you buddy. I always want to go back and visit friends I've made, but then want to go made new friends in places I haven't been yet.
Hi there MAMRE. A very nice look back at your adventure so far. I remember pretty much all of those moments too, even though it doesn't feel like I've watched three years' worth of your videos to me ! Here's hoping that you make many more friends and many more great memories in the next three years ! Take care MAMRE and thanks for sharing this journey with us all ! Love and best wishes from Spain, Garry & Ruby
Thank you so much! It was so hard picking what to put in and even harder what to take out, to keep 3 years under 3 hours. As always I appreciate you watching and especially the comments.
@@MeAndMyRoyalEnfield Hi MAMRE. Just writing to let you know that the gas money came out of the whisky fund and not the "sossidge" fund, so please don't have too many sleepless nights worrying about that 😂 Besides, Ruby recently had three new donations, so her "sossidge" future is looking pretty bright at the moment. Have fun and stay safe brother ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕
Yeah, he is well known in motocross has a nice collection at home but at work, wow. It was fun doing suspension with him because that's what he does best. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Very cool life you’re living. I’ve watched this video a couple times now, jealous. You definitely ride your Interceptor more than most people do. Have you had any mechanical issues with it?
I have to admit I've watched it a few times myself. It's hard to believe this is really my life. Thank you! No real problems. Royal Enfield has a great warranty, 3 year, unlimited mileage. I was in some very moist conditions for several weeks and had a speedometer problem. Tulsa OK USA dealer, knowing I travel full time, replaced the sender, cable and indicator and I was only down for 3 days. The exhaust pipe has a short catalytic converter just under the oil sight glass and it was rattling and that too was under warranty. I do all my own maintenance, and it is all very simple to do with the few tools I carry in my saddlebags.
Thank you for watching and especially commenting. You are right. I call it the daily unknown. Not knowing where you're really going or who you're going to meet. Love it!
Thanks for watching & the comment. Just did the 42,000 mile service and ready to head north as it warms up. First goal to ride The Texas Twisted Sisters.
The Margarita Motorest girl (Carmel) is a friend of ours and has stayed with us a couple of times. I think she’s been on the road for 8 years or so and is on the Washington coast now.
You are absolutely right. Long story, but basically we made friends over an article she wrote in Ride Maine, Therapy Of Riding when we flew customs to Rockland on a regular basis. Maybe 2013ish. I talked with her when I was thinking of riding full time. I'm honored that she's a friend. Check out my short video, For My Children On Father's Day. She's a great cook! I appreciate your watching and especially the comment!
Proof positive one does not need a $20,000 adventure bike to seriously tour. Love the RE, if I had room or sold a bike the Intercepter would be high on the list.
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words. I totally understand. If I had a garage I would have 4 Royal Enfields and one would be a Himalayan. Thanks for commenting. I enjoy the connections.
It is so laid back and beautiful there. I think Camp Verde should have Camel Burgers? I met RU-vidr "ML Hamm" at San Antonio Cycle Gear. He has good videos on riding in that area you may enjoy.
Thank you. Miss you. Dropped Kershaw tip broke off last night. Debating on getting new blade. Want to keep it original. Safety broke just received the new safety. Not fun when it come open in your pocket at 85 mph.
Did you live in a tent for most of that time? Were there camping fees every night? How much do you think that you spent on the three year trip? I'm asking because I might buy a used car to sleep in on an extended trip or if I should buy a new RE 350 Bullet. With the Bullet I would use a tent for camping if I could find cheap enough places (free).
I tent, KOA, motel, whatever works best at the time. I don't try living cheap, just comfortable for me.There are apps like, Free Campsites, FreeRoam, check Gmaps for free camping. That's how I found the ones in the video, Belleville was free, Gridley $5. Natchez Trace had some free ones. Sanderson TX was maybe $10. State and federal campgrounds are reasonable. I've been in the Texas Inn Raymondville TX since December for $1,500/month. I'm probably averaging $3,800/month for everything including $8,000 of dental work last year, pizza, hotels, everything. If I were to switch to a car the Honda Element might be what I get. But I am doing this because I am happiest when I am riding. Thank you for watching and commenting. Wish you well.
Extremely reliable and if you're mechanical at all you can do the routine maintenance yourself. It is a very mechanically simple machine. Just checked, 43,210 miles. Thank you for the comment and the view.🥓🏍🏕
I always look forward to seeing your comment. There was so hard keeping 3 years to under 3 hours. I have going over 15 minutes. I wanted to put our reunion in, Aunt Millie, lobster rolls from the church in Maine, being at 11,000 feet in the Rockies. This was hard. Maybe next time just a one year review in under one hour. Hi to Dan. See you in June 😀
Me too.Love to ride around a country as big as the US even just half of the US.I knew a lady who spent a year riding around the US on a Vmax & she collected Caps from different Police departments & sent them home.SHE then opened a biker bar once back in NZ 🇳🇿 with several cabins & paddock for tents ⛺ is a great place & the Vmax motor is in the bar.
