Watching your videos and seeing your Instagram stories are definitely helpful to me! I’m going to be 39 weeks tomorrow with my first baby. I’ve semi prepared myself for the possibility of having a c-section but I’m still having a hard time with it. I have gestational diabetes and have been able to control it with diet but my son is measuring in the 9+ range as of last week. He was laying transverse so we had an ultrasound last week to see if he was head down and he is which made me so happy! I had my appointment yesterday with my doctor and I’m having another ultrasound on Monday to see what his growth has been in a week. We’ll then determine which is the safest delivery option and I’m just so stressed out because I don’t know what will happen. Any advice would be much appreciated hope you’re having a great day dear 💙

It's incredible how we have similar thoughts and worries. The Midwife just called me for the breech clinic appt to discuss and I was already nervous and really sad on the phone because it seems they want to do it, of course, they won't insist if I am not comfortable. I had already made the decision in my mind although I was expecting a normal labour, I can't stop thinking about how harmful could be for the baby at this stage plus, as he grows and is bigger, I will not be able to rest without thinking that after turning the baby the cord it's going to be in a safe position, not around him. I've seen your c section and I just cried with you guys, and probably helps me a lot to think deeply about this decision. Thanks for sharing, God bless you and the little boy!

I’m 36w3d today and going through the exact same thing. My husband was actually all for just skipping the EVC and all of the stress of the unknown that may come with it. After thinking through all of the options and pros and cons, I think I’ve landed to the exact same thinking as you. It’s not the natural birth I have been prepping for for this entire pregnancy, but I think it’ll be the most conducive path to a less stressful and more family-centered birth compared to an emergency C Section.
@c_kelllly
@c_kelllly 4 года назад
I opted against the ECV for the same reasons as you. It’s really weird to hear that we basically had the same feelings! I felt that he had to have been breech for a reason and I did not want to force him into a different position and cause him stress. It was a tough decision that I agonized over but I’m so glad we went with a c section. My son has a huge head (99th percentile 🤣) and I’m very confident I would have ended up in an emergency c section anyway. I’m petite like you and I feel like he just didn’t have space in my belly to comfortably turn back around once he went breech.

We did an external cephalic version (ECV) with my 2nd baby at 37 weeks. We put an ice bag where her head was, used a Doppler to ensure her heart tones stayed good, and went slowly. I’m pretty good at relaxing through tension, and I did not find the procedure painful. Uncomfortable yes, but painful no. It worked and I went into labor and had her a week later. I’m an Ob/Gyn/NICU RN. I’m size 0 and 5,3” 105 lbs and she was an 8 pound baby.

Whoa that is great! Congrats. Something about it just didn’t settle right so we decided not to do it. I actually just hand a baby girl a month ago, head down the whole and delivery without a problem! Maybe it would of worked for me in the end with my first. Thanks for the message and congrats❤️

Have you tried walking a lot? I know with breached babies, we're advised to walk. So like you can go to the mall and just walk as much as possible. You may actually feel him turning as you walk.

You look so incredible momma glowing as always. You had such a beautiful baby bump. You were a beautiful pregnant goddess with your big ol belly. I think it’s better to do maternity photos late in pregnancy because you have a more large and in charge bump. I know this might be something you want to keep private but how were you intimacy wise with hubby during pregnancy?

I had an ECV done today at 37/6. Did it hurt? Yesssss, I think the part that hurt me the most is not being able to eat before the procedure. 😂 In all seriousness, it was sucessful 🙌 #ThankGod it hurt the first couple of times as my Doctor pushed to turn because my little man decided to move back to his comfortable position. 🤞 he stays...😍

I’m in the same position (38 weeks breech) except I will do the ECV. I also found a doctor who may let me try to labor with a breech. I think it’s the best of both worlds for me. But until baby is in pelvis he/she can flip. I know the pain of being hungry and not being able to eat. Or thirsty and not able to drink. Does baby do squats on the back of your pelvis? Mine does :P

I was literally just thinking last night the same thing that when you wake up to pee it's like when you need to breastfeed but it's different cause with feeding you need to actually start awake, with peeing you could be half asleep stumble into bed and continue your dream. -_- I'm so done with this, I want this baby out. Lol.

I found out my baby was breech at 37 weeks. They offered the version and after a lot of back and forth I decided on giving it a try. They gave me an epidural for it and I still felt most of it. Before the appt I tried all the spinning babies tips and they didn't work. The procedure worked but it felt AWFUL. I almost passed out and threw up. I don't think I could ever do that again. Nothing bad happened after. Baby was fine. I just ended up hypertensive a week later and got induced. ♥️

I had an ECV at 37 weeks with my 2nd baby at 37 weeks. I didn’t find it painful - just pressure - had no medications. She came the next week, was 8 pounds, I am a size 0, 5,3” 105ish to 108 lbs.

The breast feeding my doctor told me it can be up to every 30 mins,Depending on the baby. I guess breastfeeding isn't for everyone. But after I have a baby, I'm gonna be a stay home mom, so I'll be able to do it. No excuses:)

Wellllll life definitely got in the way....or it's just my procrastination. But I am choosing to continue to edit and post my weekly updates in hopes that if it helps comfort even one pregnant mama to relate to my story then that warms my heart! and makes it worth it. During my pregnancy, I found it very comforting to watch other women talk about how their pregnancy was going.
