The "Stone Plate Rockery House". an exquisite Chinese garden, designed by Shi Tao, a "talented Monk".
the wall at the entrnce served as a screen and blocked your view for inspiring your curiosity.
After entering the garden, you will find the traditional Chinese architecture is made of wood and brick.
the corridors are not only the shelter when it rains or snows, but also a route of touring and a partition of space in the garden.
This is the study of the owner. he could read books and write articles or paint a traditional chinese painting.
this tiny pond is the extension of the water system of the garden and made the pavillion more vivid.
Passing through the doorway, we will come to a watersider pavillion, the main building of the garden. this is the place where the host would entertain his guests.
the designer Shi Tao wrote a poem, it said:"the water in the pond is boundless, I am not worry about the fish. don't say the pond is a small world, it's big enough to mirror the landscape as I unfolding my painting scroll "
Having a cup of Chinese tea and staring at the koi swimming in the pond. traditional Chinese garden is the fairyland of Confucius intellectuals.
the wooden structure is paved with stone plates and gray tiles on the roof.
acrossing the wooden frame moon gate, we come to a flat stone bridge.
behind the pool, there is one gigantic rockery which was made of thousands pieces of small rocks. so the garden is named "Stone Plate Rockery House".
On the right, it is a semi-opened game room, the host would play Go with his friends or family members. "Go" is a traditional Chinese chess.
in the garden building bible "Garden Forging",it said that :"Managing rockery above the pond is the most spectacular scene."
my favourite experience of Chinese garden is caving. let's rock and roll.
all these strange rocks are called "Taihu rock" . they are natural and from the bottom of the Taihu Lake in Southern China.
Shi Tao was born in 1641 and from the royal family of the Ming dynasty. unfortunately , the Ming empire collapsed when he was three years old. He became a buddhist monk in order to escape the persecution from the Manchurian of the Qing empire .
He traveled to the beautiful mountains in China and memorized them in his heart as the sketch for his landscape painting.
