First day on our Lap of Oz with our good friends Dave and Leanne. Didn’t make it 400 kms before a shock absorber is dragging under a van!
Only problem, it’s Saturday and we are in Outback Queensland. What were we to do, go back to Townsville or find an alternative solution?
Our plans to make it to Camooweal on the border with the Northern Territory are put on hold while we wait for a part. Here comes a week of crossing fingers.
In good spirits we make the most of the delay. Hughenden gets our extra attention.
Later in the week, while Dave/Leanne free camp at the iconic Clem Walton Park, Ron/Sue enjoy visiting old friends in Mt Isa.
The adventure has already begun.
