so this is a project I have been working on for awhile it can go to the world border in 20 minutes and pretty much anywhere in the overworld within 20 minutes. So the way this cannon works is depending on different distances it will use more and more mobs to accel the pig up to 270 boats for accelation. also due to a change made in 1.18 the pig is given lots of upwards momentum to avoid it from lagging the server. I reccomend running this cannon with lithium although its not required, but for distances like the world border it will be upto 100mspt without it.
Theres a lot that can be optimized about this cannon and i may make a new one.

i think one explaining the entire process in more detail would be enough, like this happens in loaded cheu¡unks, this in lazy chunks and thenthis other minecart gets pushed into that chunk....:)

@@k__ok you can start with the pig and the cart in lazy chunks then just push the pig into entity processing but that is very slow. I chose to use the instant conveyor because it means you could have the cart any distance away without it taking longer and prevent it from being accidently loaded. If you load the cart the setup breaks.

the first time definitely does generating the chunks is very laggy but after that its very quick not much lag

Ok good to know, at first i had trouble getting it to work but now it works! It did lag my single player world a lot in a weird way, no drop in frames but the integrated server was having a very hard time (although minihud showed that the tps was 20.@@Comedy4

yes it works in 1.20 might be something wrong with ur setup. I just tested the cannon in 1.20 and it works fine might have some accuracy issues tho.

@@Comedy4 I've tried it in 1.20.4 and the pigs just die to the tnt explosion. They don't do that in 1.19.4. Did they change something? Pretty sure i'm doing it right since i made it work in 1.19.4 but it doesn't work anymore in 1.20.4

ye 20 did something where they take 1 tick of suffocation for some reason if u replace the concreate right above where the drop in with glass it will work.@@diphje

There is a new version using direct dispensers and no portals. Also a machine like this could accelerate smth like a boat but it you would need to adapt because of the annoying hitbox that a boat has.

This machine doesn’t work 100% of the time does it? I have testet it like 6 times by now and only twice I got the pig in the right spot, and even then I needed to replace the block under the trigger noteblock because it wasn’t in the right place. :( Am I doing sth wrong or is it just that the lazy chunk acceleration and the "splitting" of the pig isn’t that consistent? (Also the last few blocks of the second binary counter are not loaded by the chunk loader I think … although it didn’t matter in my tests as I afked in the nether anyways) My settings just so you know: 17 render distance, 16 simulation distance, version 1.19.4
