Researchers from The Nature Conservancy, Skagit River System Cooperative and the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife on their way to catch and sample fish. The Nature Conservancy works with partners to monitor Chinook salmon and estuarine species while running an estuarine program at the same time. There is very little floodplain habitat at Port Susan Bay to expand upon but we are improving estuarine channel habitat for fish to spread out and feed. Our restoration efforts focus on channel diversity and abundance.
