Same yo! And I use to struggle the first time I tried. Then gave up grew out my hair. Cut it again cuz I missed havin low cuts and waves, then I started brushing only when it’s moisturized and used natural products only, I had ripples in the first day, waves 3-4 weeks. They weren’t deep yet but they where visible from every angle with and without lighting.

So my advice to others is only brush when ya hair when it is wet, damped, or moisturized. U can do this with water only or a moisturizer.

honestly bro, all you can do is try and see how your waves respond. if you start getting forks then stop and stay wit the same brush and limit blind brushing if you can.
