Hi! Be careful with lithium batteries, way I understand it is too much voltage, not so much too many amps going into them will explode them easily. Lead acids can take all sorts of abuse, spikes and big overvoltages but not lithiums... I was told, not sure if correct, but to charge lithiums you should just be about 1V overvoltage and no more....maybe put that lithium battery in the frozen foods drawer of fridge just in case! Maybe measure just what is the amps and volts in some system charging that sort of lithium and copy what they are doing to be safe. Be careful too, "trusting" that clampmeter! I have had bad experiences with them and they can display amperages not even close to what it really is....either way too much or way too little they dont care! I would put an analog or good digital ampmeter in DC between the filter caps at end of rectifier and see exactly what the amps is going into the lithium battery. Hector (famous FE researcher from Puerto Rico) said collapsing field spikes will explode lithiums no problem so look out for it. I think they punch holes in the insulator material not sure.
Thank you very much for the advice. I'm unsure exactly the amperage going in but I'm able to easily control the voltage. I've scoped the output for spikes it's pretty clean. I keep the windings separate..
