With the salmon arriving in full force this week, we had the opportunity to see the most bears at brooks falls in the history of bear cam. Rangers counted 38 bears for that historic night!

Hey Gigi pennington when i just 2 years old I called the bears in Alaska Big Hairy People my mother never teach me that i Honestly believe on that special day The Alaskan bears helped me To Talk We were on a vacation in the Alaskan Wilderness Camping ⛺️ out by Hallo bay at that time ✨🙂✨

The salmon run was late this year, which might have something to do with the build up of bears

The last few years we’ve seen numerous litters of cubs. Because of the number of subadults seen on camera it’s more then likely that a number of those bears have returned.

Salmon need to return to the place they were born when they’re ready to spawn so they come in from the ocean back to the calm streams where they were born. They end up going upriver and sometimes that means they have to jump.

@@watermelonwishes4193 No problem. Where I'm from, salmon are common so kids here learn about their life cycle as children so it's basically common knowledge here but if you don't grow up with it, I can imagine the whole thing seeming very odd.
