Awesome video I have few G60’s they are a awesome vehicle. Certainly make off reading more interesting than a modern day 4WD. Look forward to seeing the build come along
Glad you became aware of the error in drilling out the spot welds. Too difficult to weld on the replacement panels when you have a hole to fill on the back side. Thanks for the video.
Ive finished a similar build but using toyota gear. fun part was grafting a 75 series firewall, floor and dash into a 55 series body. worth the effort!
Been looking forward to this update. I’m hoping to do something similar with my 1967 L60 and first generation Nissan Xterra here in Canada. The 60 series patrols are rarer than hen’s teeth here so there is motivation to keep it original but the fact that their parts are unobtanium has me really interested in the swap.
Wanted a Gq when I was little, get one when I can to find out every p plater and there brother has one. Need something different while maintaining strength and ability of a solid axle patrol, I think a g60 body swap or a square body Pajero on a Gq chassis would be ideal snd different for once.
hey mate loving the build so far. Shed q if I may - I'm researching now as getting a new one for similar purposes and my little channel - did you need any extra bracing or anything for your roof winches? I'm keen to do something to similar to be able to winch off the roof topper and store up there then just winch down when going on a trip. Cheers fellas 👍
Thanks mate, as far as the engineering for the hoists..... There is none. I'm 100% in trust with this setup but it is by no means engineered. The winches cut out before it comes even close to dangerous.
@@SIDETRACKED ok sweet good to know. I figured most big sheds should be fine. Not planning on lifting the dmax up or anything lol but was figuring a RTT should be ok
