Well, it's 2022 and I've been watching this Ste-Brendan story bit by bit over several evenings, and FINALLY they get together, which I've been waiting so patiently for, after so long and so much frustration. And NOOOOO! now I'm reading the comments here and it looks like the love story is going to be destroyed! I'll watch up until it's clear that it's about to end, and leave it there. Soaps are so full of love stories that the viewer invests so much emotional energy in, only to see them destroyed, and that's something I just don't want to watch ... it makes me feel cheated!
That tear that ran down ste's face when brendan said "cuz I love you. Cuz I can't live my life without you." And when Brendan said "I'm going to kiss you now. Come here." Steven's face just softened into a smile
Every time I watch this I get emotionally drained. Its so rich and impacting, It touches every heart string in me. The dialog just rips my guts out. Steven is so damn good and convincing, I believe every word coming out of his mouth. Its so amazing just how much he'e grown as a person. He stands up to Brendan toe to toe. There was a time that there was no way Steven could talk to Brendan like that. He was like a mouse around him, walking on egg shells. Not knowing for what reason he would be hit. Steven became a man because of Brendan. Its just so funny how fearlessly Steven has put Brendan in his place. I love the respect Brendan has for Steven. For the first time they are equals.
Finally. They laid it on the line, what they both felt. No more hiding, no more denying. And I loved how when they both said I love you, the looks on their faces wasn't happiness, but angst and pain. Pain cause they've fought this feeling for so very long. And relief. Relief to finally admit it to each other and especially to themselves. This bridge scene is now my favorite Stendan scene.
right i find it interesting that the only thing hollyoaks kept consistent with ste’s character is his life was at its best when he was with brendan and no one else has been able to fill that void
I've decided to live here inside this clip with our boys in Dublin. Maybe I can fool myself into thinking the end never happens. Maybe we'd all have been better if Ste went to America with Doug. :(
These two were destined to be together. Ever since Brandan went to jail , Ste life has gone to pieces and out of control. Solution since Brendan hasnt been killed off there is a chance to bring back Brendan Brady's character to bring stability to Ste life

As a Stendan fan, this is a wonderful episode. I did laugh when Ste said, "He's a McQueen" while referring to JP. He made it sound like it was some sort of disease I do feel bad for a broken hearted JP and Doug.
Finally. My life is now complete :D When characters say they can't live without each other, I usually think they're being overly dramatic. But when Brendan says it to Ste, without being all sappy, just stating it like a simple fact of life, I believe him.
"I'm gonna kiss you know... come here" Ahhhh cutest moment ever. I've waited 2 years for this darn moment. So bittesweet. Beautifully shot and acted. Gahh, best Christmas present ever. I am on Cloud 9.
I love his confidence with Bren - "You're scared. yeah. You're scared because finally there's nothing to stop us from being together." and "Who do you think you are?! Is that the best you can do?" and "You're not normal!" Bwahah. I LOVE the confidence that oozed from him in those moments. Honestly, since the Later eps, Kieron has been right on par with Emmett.
This is the single best thing I've watched this entire year. I can't watch it all the way through because I keep stopping to catch my breath and let out a squeal. It really doesn't get better than this.
Ste was so annoying in the beginning of this ep, like wtf how is Brendan supposed to know that you are coming to see him? They were over and he, married to doug, gets mad at Brendan about sleeping with some guy
I feel Ste's pain when He saw John Paul in the bed . I also got Shocked and got teary eyed while watching Ste. I was carried away by the scene. I feel like I was torn apart hahahahah ..
Oh dear, I am watching this again. The "I'm gay, you're gay" speech (laughs) Brendan trying to scare stephen off for once and all (cries) the Nun (laughs) the end scene (cries again --and again and again) Loveaduck or whatever your name is, I don't think being young and in love makes you needy and submissive (I don't mean that to sound agressive either. Just a difference of opinion. x)

I kept rewinding like crazy until I got to the part where Brendan says "Cause I love you", and then I screamed like a school girl cause I've been waiting for that moment for ages and so has Ste !

The very first time Brendan told Ste he loved him was an awesome episode. Brendan said it cause he meant it. But he said it there was hesitation, he knew he had to say it to not loose Ste. But this time there was no hesitation or agenda. It was just Brendan letting his guard down and pouring is heart out. BEST EPISODE EVER!

I love that in the midst of all that drama, they still had time to remind the audience that Ste and JP actually knew each other. Even including the line "hold on, is he...?!" and Brendan's "Yes, he's gay, I'm gay, you're gay, can we move on?!". Wonderful! That, and the rest of the clip, obviously. This is everything I could have dreamed of!
+ibi huss Bit late but in case you didn't get an answer yet John Paul left Hollyoaks before Ste came out, i.e. before Brendan arrived in HO, which is why they know each other but JP didn't know Brendan.
i have never cried this much because of a tv-show. after more than 2 years they finally got their moment. they finally confessed their love for each other at the same time. bren finally gave in. he finally accepts himself. he accepts ste and the love that they have together. everything that ste went through with bren, they're finally past it (i'm still crying. hard.) i'm sure everything isn't going to be perfect from now on, but it sure as hell is much better than it has been for two years. wow
Brendan is such a dude picking up Ste's biggest bag and carrying it for him as they race home to make hot, exciting, passionate love, yep just my mind running away with me.
Im so Greatful to you for posting these. so glad these 2 are together I hope they keep them on the show and the writers let them stay together & this time for good. Such a Romantic scene on the bridge.
Poor Brendan. Deity, religion is all a fiction, if he'd not been brainwashed with that bloody catholic mythology he'd have spared himself and everybody much suffering. Ste would have survived without the prayer. Emmett's acting is so overpowering that sometimes I'm sorry this storyline is a soap and not a feature film. On the big screen this cast and story would have taken people's breath away. And emmet is probably one of the sexiest men on the planet.
It's fitting to have JP in the middle of Stendan's love story because Stendan is the best love story since JP and Craig, and the scene on the bridge was the most romantic ever, it was worth the wait, HO did it right.
I'm waiting for Brenden to be released so he and Ste can leave together because the way Ste is now with John Paul and being a Jerk, is wrong. Ste has not been the same since Brenden left. Brenden and Ste are each other's salvation

I cried. Big ole fat happy tears rolling down my face and I could not contain my smile. *sigh* Two and a half years of waiting... Brendan's character arc over the last several months... Ste's coming into his own with the deli and really figuring out who he is... culminating in that scene on the bridge, with that cheeky "I'm gonna kiss you now"... And there's some sadness too, because Doug WAS brave and sweet and LOVED THE HELL out of Ste - enough to let him go b/c it's the right thing to do.
This was just EVERYTHING!! I've been waiting all day to see this, already watched it twice! I can't get over how romantic and heartfelt the scene on the bridge with Brendan and Ste was. They re just magic! And my Kieron...beyond amazing! Ok, going to do my 3rd viewing, later! lol
The background music is something you wouldn't hear in a romantic setting but it's so fitting with the scene and the place. I love Ireland..it's so beautiful
Hollyoaks writers are playing with my life right now, because I know they didn't just show that padlock with Crag and John Paul on it, not to mention Stendan is finally HAPPY. Actually cannot control my tears right now, swear to jeeves I look like Doug.
This scene just hit me in all my feels. they displayed anger, angst, and pain when saying their mutual ILY's...it just got to me. not even sure I can ever stop watching this scene tonight. It's impossible. the best night ever for any of my tv shows. My shows have been bleak too, and I was betting it all on Stendan getting together. Finally it's happened.

Nancy Cottone I'm with you all the way. people keep talking about how evil Brendan was like he was born evil, what his father did to him was unspeakable I agree PTSD would be a good storyline.
That's how they can bring him back. Either a theripist can tell the Parole board and they come to the conclusion he has suffered enough. Or he could have a nervous breakdown. Either way Ste can get Brenden through it, just like I believe Brenden canget through to Ste about his drug use. You know till Kieron is ready to leave they could make a deal with Emmett for him to appear like once a month. He could do that in between In the Flesh and his other projects actors do it all the time.

IscaRose When he thought he and Doug were going to get back together what else was he going to say. Even John Paul is not the love of his life we all know this. That is why I am praying that Ste and Brenden can soon have the future they were supposed to.

+IscaRose I just thank the lord I stopped watching after Brendan left. What an insult to the Stendan storyline for Brendan to be barely gone and the writers already having Steven claiming someone else was the love of his life. So glad I never watched - would have hurled.
