8:11 Stock, the car does a 13.1secs 1/4 mile, not a 14. A 12.25 secs is great, but a APR tuned 340 hp does the same. But what this car does above 160 is great. A 10.12 is impressive for 100-200. Great review and great tune for this car.
@@kaurvali I don't believe that a stock car can run a 12.64 on a level route with that kind of measurement. If it was downhill and with one foot rollout, then maybe. My stock Cupra ST 300 4Drive does a 13.0 without 1 foot rollout, i think 0,3 seconds should be realistic for a run with 1 foot rollout. In case of this tuned car it should get a 11.9x with 1 foot rollout. So that is much faster than stock.
@@seniso512 sorry mixed up two numbers but 4.64 was 0-100, still 1/4 mile was 12.75, which could be faster because the stock dsg tune is shit. I have a dragy run, -0.05% slope. Dragy has no 1ft rollout. Also other two stock Cupra 300 ST's also ran 12.81 and 12.85. So something must be wrong with yours.
@@kaurvali no, i think it is the normal time for this estate with gpf/opf. Also the Golf R 7.5 Or Audi S3 are not faster. After a Stage 1 with Turbo Inlet from APR the Car does a 12.1 1/4 Mile and 0-100 in 3.92 seconds. But it is a little bitslower from 100-200 as this car. But a 11.3 instead of 13.6 from 100-200 is fast enough.
@@seniso512 mine is a 2020 OPF and others are also :) but stage 1.5, so intake, exhaust & intercooler but opf, 400hp is not a problem and 3.6-3.8 0-100 which is like first gen R8 levels.
I’ve got a stock (for now ) 290 black edition dsg I’ve been in one producing 380 tuned by unicorn developments and we smoked a rs3 I was really shocked how it put power down and left it
@@ecobuildmanagement think of it in another way, yes it might be seat (leon) but its basically a mix between a mk7 glof GTI cs and a mk7 R. but again, you're right its a seat leon, therefore its underrated and not loved that much as the mk7 golf R fx.
@@Joel_Nilsson okay, I don't blame/judge you. I like the golf r mk7 but I think that the cupra stands out a little bit more. Like you said. I also really like it, it's just the fact that it's a seat Leon. I think, that the golf mk7 GTi and R looks okay, but the cupra has a little more spice, a more aggressive front then the mk7 golf GTi and R.
I have a 2020 ST300 (not R) with stage 1 tune. It's such a cool car and very very fun to drive in all conditions. The one thing I love the most is they are quite underrated and therefore they are sleepers. With stage 1 tune those things give most of the cars a run for their money.
Unfortunately in Italy it's very expensive owning one of those for people who earn 1500 2000 euros monthly...you need to work only for her😂😂😂😂 I have the same st 184 hp dsg diesel and I'm happy too😢
I really like station wagons for some reason. Idk why just something about the general shape of them. You should try the volvo v90 and in the future the new VW electric station wagon (space vizzion I think it's called)
Im shocked how people still cant believe that VW makes engines for other car brands. VW engines in Seat are the same ones that goes to Audi, VW, Skoda and Seat, you must understand that, the same way that you have Renault 1.5dci in some Mercedeses, the same way AMG made engines for Pagani, etc.
@@garren3498 I also had a waterpump failure on my regular golf so nothing special i still dont know what failures that guy had because the cupra is a solid build car.
@@CiroDiMaRzio12304 I've had my 2017 Cupra ST 4drive for 2+ years and the only technical issue has been the water pump as well. It's seen lots of spirited driving and a couple of track days, still going strong. Fingers crossed!
Too bad you have tried this and not the Seat Leon Cupra R 310cv Manual. I've been waiting for a while to see if you try it, I hope you can review one soon.
Sadly yes in Germany. They can overtake everywhere everytime, except its forbidden by a sign. Sometimes they dont even indicate, that 'fun'. Had that multiple times.
I saw this cupra had an 7Gear ? Is it just by the R models ? Because I don’t think that the cupra 300 models from 2017 as an example have also 7 Gears forward?
My 2018 ST Cupra 300 4Drive Carbon Edition, (jeez what a mouthful, lol), is from June and has the six gear DSG. The Carbon Edition is really close to the R equipment-wise but they have a few small differences. The 7-speed seems to be more common from late 2018 forward.
2017-mid 2018 were 6 speeds dsg’s, same goes for the carbon edition cupra’s. They also don’t have an opf. Everything from mid 2018 onwards has dsg7 and an opf. And a couple of other small differences.
hands down .... this cupra is not really the best, not because it is a cupra or something else, but because it is a wagon car... I personally have a cupra leon P1 or better known as mk2. you filmed a black cupra of that leon edition with blue blinkers with a repaired 2.1 engine on your channel, it's really one of my favorite videos personally. it really doesn't suit Leon, the wagon line is disgusting... but the wagon fits RS Audi editions and Octavias as well as the SuperB vrs edition... but it's worth the effort Like 😘
@@Maurice_Moss Water pump failed, thermostat failed, ac compressor failed, rear shocks failed, rear fuel filler cap lock failed, infotainment system restarted frequently, dsg selector errors, dsg judder and errors. I dont want to go near any VW product ever again. And my FR was a 2017 on about 60 000 miles .... As i said. Yes, it was fast in a straight line Yes it was comfortable. But too much issues Now i own a zc32s and I LOVE IT!
The factory intake is good for higher power but would be sceptical without an intake pipe and elbow upgrade. You will definitely get a stage 1 close to 380 though.
Well since GOLF R packs the same hardware - couldn't you just go to the wheel alignment and suspension shop and have it setup the same way on the machine???
When seat builds better looking cupra R enthusiast cars better than vw gti or R. Audi Porsche lambo seat has that aggressive look down and we have vw giving us this ugly ass mk8 😫
@@enes655 oh hang on, I thought you meant difference between Cupra and Cupra R. "Cupra" branded new cars have taken over from Cupra versions of Seats. The newer Cupra branded cars are watered down with horrible hybrid cars in the range and the proper 300bhp cars are nowhere near as good as the mk3 Leon Cupra
Really need to get some more tuning done on mine. I have the ABT module which was offered as factory fit, so 350 at standard, but feel it needs a DSG remap. @cupra_r_st
