This is just a quick & dirty analysis of the 2014 FJR1300 stock seat vs the Sargent World Sport. Both seats were laser scanned and aligned in CAD. I plan on making a custom seat that is matched to my body's shape in riding position.
At 5'10" & 235, (I'm built like a gorilla!) I didn't find the OE seat objectionable but I couldn't last more than an hour on it before needing a break. I'm a long-time fan of Sargent and have owned many versions for different bikes over the years. I ordered one for my FJR and the result in increased comfort was transformative. I never even paid attention to the seat and isn't that what a good seat does? Perhaps more importantly, my riding partner felt likewise. She gets so comfortable back there on the Sargent that she often falls asleep while riding! I've read nothing but good about the LAAM & RDL seats and I wouldn't mind trying one of those too but it's more expensive and your seat will be off the bike for a while, depending on how busy they are. For an off-the- shelf, more generic product, the Sargent almost always seems to fit me well. The only time I've had one where it didn't work as intended was for my '11 Ninja 1000. Kawi's OE seats are generally terrible and I was hoping for improvement but on that bike, the Sargent was just as ineffective for me.
