Wow the map control is beyond my comprehention! Also, I love how you focused on only one player at the casting, makes it easier to see the actual skill these pro players have, please more videos like that ❤
@@prankster959 He is still writing a shortening for Age om empires, not age of mythology. How would AOE ever be arena of the gods, come on now man, think xD
Just tried a variant of that against norse, worked well I said a variant cause the norse's heroes, at least the act 2 ones, are infantry, so adding a bit of axemen into my army comp went well when he when hero heavy. Anubites jumped past the front lines to his throwing axemen, and my axemen tore his hersirs. Still kept some spearmen for his cav
nice, sounds sick! Norse really struggles vs egyptian MU spam since their heroes are hard countered by axemen! Anubites, sphinx, wadjets, they all work really well!
Wait till people discover anubite + sekhmet for Set. It's a game changer. You have 20% lifesteal out of a 15 dmg unit attacking every 0.8 seconds. It's all the frontline you need.
Ye, atlantean heroes are really cheap to make and can really shut this down. But on the other hand, barracks units can hard-counter the heroes, so maybe this isn't too bad vs atty actually
Man I only just saw how much serpent spear sucks compared to other stuff - it doesn't work vs buildings at all! Electrum bullets gives slingers +1 divine damage vs everything per shot, phobos spear of panic gives hoplites (already a nice unit) +1 divine damage vs everything (and podromoi, too, for good measure), and then serpent spear... gives a total of 0.75 damage, spread across 6 seconds, just vs units.
Anubites are dogs huh! I guess I never stopped for a second to wonder what animal they are supposed to be for the non-human part🤣 I can see Myself trying that strat and doing a bad job of microing the anubites and losing too many of them 🤔 It does require a good bit of skill I think!
@@grogmadman522 Oh right! Not quite a dog then, but a species of canidae (if I've got My terminology right), kind of like coyotes are "doglike" but neither dogs nor wolves!
I used to do the exact same strategy on classic AOM, So cool to see other people also discovered it that even today. and even better with the crazy micro managing of the pharaoh
probably! Although with Isis you can incorporate Prosperity into your build and get an economic advantage you wouldn't get with Set. But then Set has other advantages :3
