Ikr. I was drooling looking at his series. I had asked him how he did it, he did mention Filter Forge, but I had no clue how to get that effect. He mentioned using a TIFF image, with exponential blur effect. I think I cracked the look, thanks to you. Man please never stop making tutorials. I know it's your first, but you did an exceptional job with this one. 🙏🏻
@@gaurisam Do you know what he means by exponential blur? I can't figure it out. I'm trying to do it. This chrome filter is good but I feel like there's something missing. It doesn't feel as smooth or as defined as Martin's. Do you think he tweaks it in Photoshop after he applies the filter? Also how does he get the gradient that he wants in the beginning? Sometimes he has a black background but then there's colors in his refractions.
I can’t thank you enough. I’ve been pulling my hair out all day long today [none left now] trying to reverse engineer and master Martin Naumann’s FF style with no luck whatsoever. Hundreds of FF filters later I find your channel and your awesome tutorial with its unbelievable simple explanation. Gratitude is too weak a word!!! :)
I'm currently doing Graphic Design in Uni in my 1st Year and this tutorial is really cool to know that you can just do it from Illustrator. Also love your designs on instagram. Defo one of my inspirations to me.
Cool stuff ! Unfortunately, it's not available for older FilterForge version.. Do you think you could make your filter available for version 9 ? Or would it completly break the filter ?
thank you so much for this tutorial, wish u could make another tutorial about how to use filter forge on a png image to create more like facebook frame or some kind of text to add it on a poster? many thanks again
Hi! I can't open the filter in filter forge. The page just doesn't take me there, it wont open. Do you know some other way to add the effect to Filter Forge? The tutorial is just perfect, thank you!
Hey Ariel! Try downloading the filter file directly from here: edwardcreates.gumroad.com/l/ChromeRefract That link also contains instructions for installing the filter on both Windows and Mac OS. This has worked with other people who ran into the same issue. Hope this helps!
Can you do a tutorial of how we can make our own filter? It's pretty dope all your gradient pack but it would be coolest to do it an a custom pack! A new sub here!:)
