great vid as usual. great pro voxhide tip in the vid is: with vox hide to prevent hidden volumes from coming back switch your mesh to surface then back to vox to clear whatever mem that stuff is in so it wont come back on you...

my guess is you would merge what parts you could that would be one retopo model then maybe the other one would be the bolts with sym. but maybe you can bake and retop with just whats vis in the vox list. i was thinking the same thing tho. mainly because of the shear number of parts in the vox list.

Excellent vid. Where can we donate? I just purchased 3Dcoat. This software is powerful, amazing and unbelievably advanced. I’m a 3D novice, but I’m shocked there aren’t many more tutorials and recommendations for this software. I got it for great price and it’s just as good as Zbrush. I own both. Please keep these tutorials going. Will donate.

I can see how you're cutting out shapes for the top of the dome at the 2:36 mark, but how are you adding back in shapes at the 2:38 mark?

In this video I was just using smooth all. Now there is bevel tool in 3d coat too

I hope I'm not late in adding 3DCoat to the workflow but. in ZBrush you can select subtools via viewport by ALT+LMB, here in 3DCoat which is it? Thank you so much,

Never late and it's always improving every month. You can hover over the object with the mouse and click A on keyboard to select it
