Absolutely great tutorial! I was trying to learn how to create some snow covered mtns to add into a backround scene and this was perfect! The only issue I have now is getting this to work with octane. I created it as an octane material to begin with and it works with c4d render fine but not with octane. It juste shows up as white and grey lines, The material is an octane material so I'm confused as to what the problem is. Any insight into this ? Thanks again!!

I've never used Octane before..... But maybe octane has a different approach

Honestly, I have no clue if that's possible....... Probably if you could bake the texture from the high poly to a low poly

How would i use the snow mask for upscaled landscapes? For instance, the same mountain but with extra 0's in it's object size properties.

Sulphurous it works based on the angle of the slope.... It should work for upscaled models

The problem i seem to have is that the snow only occurs at a specific height, as seen here. prntscr.com/idly7a Edit: Changing the Min and Max altitude in the terrain mask seems to have fixed it! prntscr.com/idlzft Many thanks for the tutorial.

There seems to be another speedbump i have run into, the settings in the pictures i sent are giving me absurdly long render times because of the tiny snow specs in the texture, any ideas on how to fix this? prntscr.com/idlzft
