This is easily one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Ever. I've owned 6 Subary WRX cars so far, with my latest being a 2006 WRX STi. One of my friends has actually ridden in a 22B long ago. I am going to do everything I can to print this and make it go. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

This model is so amazing! I thought 3D Sets ones were the very best achievable for an FDM printer, but this model proved me wrong! Even stuff that didn't need complexity like the trunk hinge is so well thought and cool, I really enjoyed looking at the guide to see how well this model is designed

@@casadioDesign Honestly I am not even into RC stuff, but I have been considering building a 3DSets for a long time just because they are so cool. Now I saw this and I genuinely think it's it's even cooler. It might be what pushes me out of my laziness, I just have to find some 555 Sonic Blue filament, or maybe I can do something sacrilegious and make one with the 3DO neon magenta that I already have 😁

Awesome! Been waiting for this since the first teaser vid. Was wondering what why was taking so long....after looking through the guide, I understand why, the quality is first class. I've bought the stl files, now to go filament shopping!

@@casadioDesign i did, thats what i'm speaking about, the rollers on the one way clutch have reliefs cut in, the drive shaft is using two M2's very close to really strengthen it and turned 90 degrees at the other end for even more strength. and then the basic but well thought out concept of installing the drive train into the chassis from the bottom rather then the usual way of slapping it all onto a pan and laying the body over it. Dang the floor pan and wheel wells are just pretty.
@@TerraRoot You are completely right! You noticed a lot of technical details and key features of the model! I was confident that this one-way clutch was completely innovative but I was wrong. A similar solution was already used on the RC world! By the way, my goal is to provide a scaled automotive experience, that's the reason why I selected to assemble the mechanics from the bottom 😄
Ive been looking for a reason to get into the 3d printing world as i know nothing about then and you have just gave me it! Sick man the attention to detail is crazy. I own a type r with a 60mm 22b bodykit. Would love to print this off and paint it steel blue same as mine

All PLA, right! After almost 3 years of experience I can say that PLA is completely fine. I usually print the gears with eSun PLA+ it is very strong, but as @Splarkszter said, it is very important to grease them 😄
@@casadioDesign thanks for the reply, I did the gears on my JP Jeep all in eSun PLA+ and they felt solid, I was just a bit too scared of driving hard as someone said I should be printing my gears in Nylon... Was thinking of doing that with the Subaru, but if PLA is good for you, it's good for me! Thanks again.

Grandissimo! Ti invidio un sacco, hai un lavoro bellissimo 😄 Grazie mille comunque, se hai dubbi durante la costruzione puoi contattarmi in qualsiasi momento! Ho testato tutta la meccanica in quasi 3 anni di lavoro anche con altri modelli, posso dirti con certezza che il PLA si comporta leggermente meglio del PETG. Benchè sia meno resistente sui carichi statici, si comporta meglio sotto lo stress combinato dovuto all'inevitabile riscaldamento dei denti. Non è una trasmissione efficientissima, pertanto molta energia si trasforma in calore. Puoi vedere gli "Endurance test" nel mio canale. Quasi 9km completamente a tavoletta seguendo il modello RC con la mia auto!

I also had a Ender 3 Pro (the S1) and I can tell you is definitely possible. Unfortunately I found they are not realiable on the long term. My suggestion is to buy a BambuLab A1 instead, is cheap, reliable and very easy to start with 😄 let me know what do you think 🤩
