In this video you'll see how I make these 3D printed brushless motors and compare delta winding against Y winding to show the difference in the RPM they produce. This video is intended only for your viewing entertainment. Please do not replicate, as seen on the video it is very dangerous.

Wrap the rotor with fiber reinforced packaging tape to hold your magnets. Great demo video. Thanks for posting it.

How have you given the connections to the windings? I can see that for the Y, you chose consequitive terminals and for delta, you have connected to alternate terminals. My doubt is "how is the interconnection between the terminals different?"
@CoolStuff1
@CoolStuff1 4 года назад
Yes they are both identical in the coils winding, the differences is in the way that the three phases are connected to each other. In the video I have shown pictures how the three phases of Delta and Y are connected.
@dennisadinath

@@CoolStuff1 I saw the diagram, as per that the connections for 3 terminals are shown. You have used 6 coils. How have you interconnected them. ? Can you please explain.

I'm confused, I thought you need an iron stator for this type of motor to work.

How do you know what diameter the wire should be and how many turns to make?
@henrydonaldson4665
@henrydonaldson4665 Год назад
The force applied by an electromagnet is determined by the number of turns and the current. More turns and thicker wire both mean a more powerful motor, but also more current draw. Essentially any value will work, but the end result will vary in power. He probably just used the wire he had on him and made sure it was the same number of turns on each.

Can you convert dc motor into brushless motor?
@CoolStuff1
@CoolStuff1 4 года назад
I take it you mean brushed to brushless cos these brushless motots are also dc. Yes you can convert them you'll need to rewire them. There are some videos showing how to do it.

can you tell me the setting used for the 3D print (i'm fighting with my printer please help) and what filament is that? and is there any specific reason why you choose 0.5 mm diameter wire, why not other size?

Hi, in all the online projects that I see both with DIY and professional it is always necessary to use a Hall sensor to operate the brushless motors, why is it not included in your projects? Thanks
@CoolStuff1
@CoolStuff1 3 года назад
Brushless motor dosen't always need to have a hall sensor to work. I'am using a ESC to make it work.

what was the rpm at 12v of the delta?
@prerupa
@prerupa 11 месяцев назад
The Y is 80 per cent Δ, if it reached with 9v 12718 RPM with Y and 15913 RPM with Δ, with 12v 17362 RPM with Y, probably with the Δ would be 21723 RPM.
