came out nice with a little handwork :)

I wonder, if you had taken it to final dimension first, could you have milled it without having to flip it, and thus leaving the thin bottom floor mostly-supported (little stick out on the ends).

Great work. I'm in the process of trying to convert my own minimill and your videos have been a tremendous help. Do you have a link to the specific vice that you're using? Did you extend the cbeam for the x axis? What are the dimensions of your x axis plate now?

Yes, I used the old 390mm cbeam from the original y axis on the x axis, along with 350mm linear rails. The x plate is 260mm x 125mm. The vise is a 2" screwless vise from littlemachineshop: littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=3769&category=1963256914 and I love this style of vise (it's nice and compact but still holds very well), but this particular one isn't the best built. The bottom isn't perfectly flat, it's bowed very slightly. So, maybe buy that type of screwless vise, but from somewhere else.

Came out nice and I like that you've showed these price and time calculations. Any plans to cut t-slots into your mill table?

Thanks! I think I'll keep it with just drilled and tapped holes for now; my vises all fit in those holes.

Imagine collecting a bunch of milk jugs shredding them heating them in your oven until they melt an then pressing them into a block mold, you'd have infinite free plastic

Do you have to use cooling when milling plastic? complete noob here. Thanks

I don't use coolant, just an air blast.

I'm a bit late here but IKEA chopping boards!

Yes! Cutting boards are usually a cheap source of HDPE, if you can find the thickness you want. :)

It's a shame CNC creates such waste, the case looks good!
