We are hoping to, but when it gets REALLY hyper focused we may venture to a dedicated scanning channel as there will be a dedicated company that we are building for the scanning services.
I tried this using a DLSR camera and was disappointed in the results. I was hoping the Creality scanner would be a good combination of price and performance, but the Kickstarter was a no go for me, and still have not seen a review that shows good results. The problem for hobbyists is the need for a good system that is affordable
Hey, I've been using a Shining 3D Einscan HX setup for over a year now for reverse engineering. I really like it. It was expensive (around 12K in dollars) but it earned itself back in time savings. Was wondering if you've tried any products from this company. The particular one Im using is a structured light/camera and laser scanner in one handheld device with laser scanning accuracy up to 0.2 mm. Pretty snazzy,
I have the Einstar. It's not bad for the money. I've messed with the HX and it's great value. I want to work more with Shining 3D especially since they have an office like 30 minutes from me!
Look man, this is not a channel where we will go THAT deep and if I say it is on the lower end of price I would get WRECKED in the comments LOL. Had to choose the lesser of 2 evils! But I would LOVE to use that scanner!
The Structure scanner is just that, cheap, it works, but it is not the best. Einscan makes some of the best "cheaper" scanners that I am aware of though, but we are trying to get some in to test to see how they stack up!
A second channel might help. Only thing keeping me from subscribing is the number of videos uploadedon the channel. Makes it hard to navigate and I don't want my subscription feed to be the same.
