*_Bro...i ain't Gon' lie ....it doesn't look that QUALITY which you ONCE used to PRODUCE..... consider this a Constructive Criticism from a FELLOW VFX artist....be CONSISTENT....and you'll be BACK AGAIN !!!!_* good luck brother 🎉
Motion tracking would also work but then you'd have to manually rotate the wolverine claw accordingly to get the 3D perspective. If you hold your hand straight this works. Honeslty if my hand had been sharper it would result in an even cleaner 3D track removing all the current jitters
You're definitely right, it was more a proof of concept of after effects 3D capabilities, not something I'd pick for professional results but fun to play with future tools! Maybe I should've made that more clear in my video.
It is slipping a bit indeed. This due to my hand not being in focus and lacking tracking information. Although these results are common and usually fixed with manual keyframing to make it perfect. This video was more a proof of concept than a final result, hope this helps
Cool stuff bro but unfortunately the claws are sliding kinda like the xmen origins, so Ig it's authentic. But jokes aside, I'd recommend doing the object tracking in 3D ( 3D equalizer, synteyes, Blender etc.) to avoid results like this and you could use the 3D models as the shadow catcher as well.
Indeed, normally I would prefer to do it in more specific software but I wanted to create a more approachable way of doing it for most people. My hand should've been better tracked though!
