Note: It is recommended to keep a cartridge in your system at all times to keep dust from entering your system. KEEP AT LEAST ONE CARTRIDGE FOR THIS REASON. It's a plus if its one of your favorite games
If you use a New Nintendo 2DS XL, there is a thing you can open and close to insert and remove games and microSD cards, though, so on there it's not nessacery. But I always have my fave game in my 2DS XL for obvious reasons
I can see why people don't want physical copies i just hope Nintendo doesn't go full digital in the future i feel safer having a physical copy in my hand lol.
this video took forever to find but anyways thank you for helping us out!! i had lost my animal crossing so i bought it on the device so i wouldn't lose it again but i finally found the cartridge and I'm so happy i can transfer it over
So I just bought a 32gb sd card for my 3ds that's on its way from Amazon and I plan on deleting all my digi games from my 8gb sd card then download them to my 32gb card...will I loss my saved game file on my dragon ball z game (retail copy)..is the saved file on the 8gb sd card or is it on the dragon ball z game card it self? Please respond...I would hate to loss all that work that I put into that game 😔
gamegoblin1 you won't lose it if you copy everything on your 8GB to your computer then take out the 8GB and put the 32GB in and copy all those files back to the 32GB. So basically your just copying all files from 8Gb to 32GB. It will be just like the way it was but with the added space🙂
Tim Chaten on my animal crossing game I put it in my other 3ds (which I had never put it in before) and it said there was no save data and spotpass would create new extra data. If I said yes would it delete all my save data that I had done on my other 3ds or just put it onto it?
I think I’ll keep my actual cartridges because I don’t want to lose anything on my cartridges because I’m not getting rid of them, just doing this to have them on my DS.
I know you prob won't read this but when I click on transfer on every game I have and no one has Played with it it won't work and say a Nintendo 3ds download software version of the game card is required
Its called "Custom Firmware" if your 3DS isn't on latest update there may be a "entry point"(Used to run the "CFW") for homebrew(Launchs CFW), check GBATemp 3DS for more info, it allows you to run un-assigned code thus free games :P
If you have Luma just get Checkpoint and ity easy that way. I did the reverse when I was impatient for Pokemon Ultra Moon....got a room early and started the game then injected it to my physical card when it arrived and got rid of the rom. Still have the save on the card
Ugh - my bad I thought all games supported that - there are some earlier games that don't work. Perhaps they want you to use the new GameSync in X/Y that stores your game save online - and when Pokemon Bank comes out that would allow for Pokemon transfer - hope that helps
Yea for me I quickly realized that I could care less about collecting portable systems. Never have - Wii U and other home consoles I have a strong connection to collect those though. I don't collect to sell and make money on, but for my personal enjoyment - a 3DS with every great 3DS game on it will be an awesome thing to have ...
Okay so if u have a pre installed version of a game on 1 sd card and u put another sd card in it and go to the eshop to download it on the second sd card will it work?
How do u transfer sd card data to the physical copy??? Like i downloaded rune factory 4 but i also want a physical copy how would i move the sd card download to the physical copy???
i put my game in and it shows that downloadable version can’t even be found… this is upsetting me and idk what to do, i tried tomodachi life, zoo resort 3d and disney magical world HELP!!!
What will happen if your system corrupts and you need to re-install the game but Nintendo closed the online store? Wouldn't it be better to have a actual cartridge?
+EmersonsAwesome Yea the idea is if you want to migrate from physical to digital games you can do this and then sell your physical copy to recoup some of the upgrade costs
No you download an app from the eShop and everything is done in away created and sanctioned by Nintendo. Works great for those wanting to move away from physical carts to digital.
I want to do the exact opposite of what you did. I want to transfer my Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (that I bought and downloaded via eShop) to a physical cartridge. An actual cartridge that I can insert and remove from a 3DS, a real hand-held cartridge. How do I do that?
All done in 2 easy steps: WARNING: You will lose save data on game. 1. Call 1-855-578-2681 (Nintendo Customer Service) and ask for refund. 2. If you didn't get refund... OUT OF LUCK. If you got refund, go to Gamestop and buy the game card. Done!!!
