Hey, Johnny. Another fantastic tutorial. I know absolutely nothing about this visual technique/technology, but it is super interesting for me. I try to listen and "learn". LOL Richard.
Thank you for the tutorial! I'm using it to set up everything around a vehicle model I made. Speaking of which, due to the highly detailed car in your video, may I ask how long it takes you to create your models? Or perhaps how long it took when you first started versus now? I ask because I'm trying to determine the time-frame I should be working with when creating highly detailed models from scratch. Please let me know. Thank you again!
Well done, this tutorial and your work are amazing and I think that you only could be a little bit slower showing this all tricks you use to create all this super looking like stuff. But despite all, you are great man!!!
thnx for ur kind reply :) ..... bt only "16 mb Ram"...? i did'nt get it... well i m also looking for a PC with average configuration which simulates particle & dynamic files easily or at least ables to render high polys models... thats Y m asking... wat U suggest for me?
If you are using the Reytrayce Material or even Standard you must be carreful with the reflection checkbox in maps slot in material editor. There in reflection checkbox in maps slot you should make the value of the reflection as little as 10 - 15 not more. Than in reflection slot insert the reflect/refract map from map browser and make the value of its size from 100 to something about 10-15. It should help and than you should not have the mirror efect of your material. If you wanna make really good car paint material I recommand you to use Standard Material with the MULTI LAYER shader preset. Than in first specular layer increase the level and the glossines values to 90 and the second specular layer 35-level and glossines at 0 value. Than change the second specular layer color to a little bit warmer than the color of the first specular layer and than you will have nice car paint material and what's most important, it's photorealistic and less time consuming than Raytrayce Material with reflection set at Raytrayce Map or Reflect/Refract. Try this tip and write back how it works for you bro.
