Ouch, The Answer hurts even more as Yukari is the canon lover. So many scenes with Makoto/Minato too. Like the Bedside Scene, Beach Scene, and the such than her breakdown in The Answer because he wanted to see him one last time.

KeatonKing Yeah, about the whole Souji thing, it's strange how pretty much everyone accepted the name for the P4 protag to be Yu yet people are still torn between Makoto and Minato, even though the Mangas aren't cannon.
I'VEBEENWAITINGFORTHIS No, they were stubborn with Souji until the Arena games came and ATLUS said they were canon, so the Souji fans didn't really have much of a choice in that regard.

I also belive lovers arcana are the canon one, for what i see in the games. The persona wiki doesn't say they aeon is secondary canon, but even thought i don't think Aigis loved the P3 hero in a romantic way i do belive she love him. I can consider Marie a second canon since she can declare her love in the golden epiloge if you dated her, still since Rise declared her love too since the normal ending, get jelous and keep flirting with P4 hero regardless of everything i still think her as a main canon.

The general dislike of Yukari stems from the weak voice acting in the original P3/FES, I think. In the animated movie she comes off as a Chie-esque character:spunky and pugnacious, aspects of her personality which were missed by the English voice actress in the original. Her reading of the character comes off as bitchy a lot of the time and is inconsistent with what the character is supposed to represent, imo. In my mind Yukari is one of the deeper characters in the P3 universe. Tormented by the loss of her father, embarrassed and ashamed of her mother who runs around with different men and outright neglects her only child (contributing to Yukari's isolation, angst, and poor self-image, I may add)- who could blame the girl for being a little jaded towards people at times? Yet she presses on in the face of this tilted upbringing as she pursues a normal, happy life whilst seeking the truth behind her father's mysterious and untimely demise. She is the clear canon love interest in my eyes as she shares the most in common with Minato while also compensating for his weaknesses (the animated movie makes this clear during the first full moon sequence, when it is revealed that Yukari embraces life and clings to it while Minato really could care less whether he lives or dies) and vice versa. Waifu rant over and out.
laernd johnston I think Michelle Ruff did a great job. I'm gonna assume whoever was the voice director probably was the one at fault. The game did come out at a period where dubbing still had some flaws.
I don't know about the voice acting, I mean in P3P she didn't feel too bitchy, more like short fused (especially towards Junpei, and that led to one of the best lines in the game) other than that, you summed up Yukari's character perfectly, these are the reasons I fell in love with her character
*Makoto opens the church's doors Yukari: "Don't you know there's a proper procedure for these things!?" This line is her straight up giving away that she DOES want to be with Makoto lol

This sucks... I got Naoto... I literally would prefer any other girl, call me crazy but my least favorite female characters are Chie and Naoto, it's not that I hate them, they're good characters I just don't like them.
is fes even cannon cause that's a remake of persona 3 not the actual cannon it's possible that the awnser never happend...but than again....the fighting game spin off don't have him so it might be possible that fes IS CANNON even though i think it's just a spin off of the original persona 3

rz1dog *sigh* Here we go again. I'll make this quick. What exactly makes her personality so bad? The fact that she's more aggressive and makes fun of Junpei alot? You know who else is aggressive and makes friend of the main character's best friend alot? Chie. Why is Yukari a bitch? Is it because she obssessively tried to fight Aegis in hopes of seeing the person she was in love with? True, that was pretty messed up of her. But then people seem to forget what immediately happens after that: she apologizes and makes up with her friends. She realized she was wrong. That's the one major thing I can say about Yukari and the way she interacts with the cast: they're friends. The reason Yukari picks on Junpei is the same reason he picks on her, cuz they're friends! If you're gonna honestly tell me you never pick on your friends in jest than you are a saint among men. Anyway, back to my waifu. /rant
She's very insecure in what she does she doesn't really try to redeem herself she just plays it off like nothing happened and the whole Chie thing I could care less about if it. If it's my picture you're referencing this is Mako from Kill La Kill. I could give a damn less about how much you hate mainstream couples. I still haven't played Persona 4 so I haven't decided who's the best female in the game so your presumptions are completely out of whack. As for fucking up I haven't fucked up I've met plenty of women like Yukari she's exactly the kind of person who does things like turn on her friend and doesn't take responsibilities for her actions just constantly blames her past. She's honestly a glorified Natsuki the only reason she isn't presented as such is because she's a party member. She adds little to no story progression in the main quest at least Aigis has a good reason for it at least at the end of Persona 3 she proves to be more human then the only reason why she descends back into I'm just a robot is because she's loosing her way that Minato helped to achieve. Yukari looks like she again has made no progression in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Everyone looks as through they've done something with their life hell even Ken's story is interesting and he was the least interesting character in the game. So have fun with your uninteresting waifu I'll take someone who looks as through they've honestly changed for the better rather then a go nowhere bitch thanks. :D
