I have this tent. I love this tent. My friend and I often share this tent. There is plenty of room for both of us. We do keep our packs out in the vestibule on top of their rain covers. This tent has seen high winds, hail and torrential rain and performs perfectly. Set up is super easy once you figure it out. A trick for the head/foot guy lines, take a stick about 2 feet long and wrap the guy line around once at the same height as the circle patch and then stake it out. It lifts the tent ends significantly. I also own the duplex for my no go PCT 2020. I much prefer the Lanshan's features over the Duplex.

Thanks for showing both ways of packing up.

I’m late as usual. A year ago they were about $110. Now they are $200. I went with a North Face Stormbreak. Tough but heavy.

I had mine out in a really bad winter storm with the 4 season insert lmao took a Canadian freezing rain storm with no problem at all.

Little extra room is better than hardly know room I have purchased both the one and the two person and in my opinion it is worth the extra little bit of weight for the two-person. Great video thanks

This is a really great option. I've had mine out for ten nights and so far, no complaints...even in gale-force winds, it held up. This tent relies on tension from the lines to get an optimum pitch. I recommend getting some stronger stakes that will hold in stormy conditions. Other than that, I really don't think you would be happy with the 1 person version...it's basically a bivvy with a small vestibule. Good choice on this tent! My favorite part is that is does the job very well, and does NOT cost 600 bucks!

I've been using the lanshan 1 and the lanshan 2 and they are super tent (for the price) they are light for the size and the resist bad weather without a problem. I'm 5'8 so i fit fine in it.

Great video stick with the two man I have both and the one man is not worth the weight savings

Yeah I got the lanshan 3 man for my wife and I to use when we weekend hike and I couldnt be happier about it. I cant believe you were even considering the duplex tent for a single trip, I mean its for ultra light backpacking, you could use a number for stand alones for even cheaper than the lanshan for a scouting trip, its not like you have to put it in a pack and hike 30 miles a day.

Ha! Very true on the Duplex. A lot of it was just me rationalizing the purchase. 😝

Does the 'tarp tent' have a floor?
@TheRealOutdoors
@TheRealOutdoors 4 года назад
Yes. TarpTent is the brand. It's a full, single-wall tent with floor, bug net, and door. I did a review and set up video on it.

@@TheRealOutdoors thanks man.im 189cm so propably this would be too small for me. Your opinnion? Great review!
@TheRealOutdoors
@TheRealOutdoors 4 года назад
Thank you! Yes, I think it would be a bit tight. If you’re OK with a single wall tent, check out the Pro version. LOTS more room and less weight. I did a review of that one, as well.
