Jermell simply didn't know what to do he had never fought anyone of that caliber before. The unrelenting pressure Canelo put on him and the way Canelo was cutting off the ring not giving Charlo any room and those thunderous power shots just took Jermell's soul away. He knew he was in for a rough ride from the first shot he received. The man had no answer and despite of having skills himself they couldn't help him out of the situation he was in without the risk of getting knocked out so he ran and held to survive 12 rounds. The funniest part of the fight was Jermell's trainer telling him your loosing the fight go knock him out and the look on Jermell's face said it all like how da f*ck am I suppose to do that lol. Canelo had so much more experience, power and skill than Jermell to completely neutralize his skill set. Canelo's defense that night was impeccable. A lot of the punches Jermell tried to throw were blocked. Jermell did not have the power or ability to make Canelo backup and respect him as a fighter. The punches Jermell did land did not have any effect whatsoever Canelo just kept moving forward for 12 rounds.

Canelo beats Crawford easy. He’s too big and too good. We need to see the DAVID BENAVIDEZ FIGHT!!! 🥊

Look I get it, Charlo didn't go out on his shield and there seemed to be lack of hunger. But we do this dance every time to diminish Canelo's wins. Kovalev is shot... because he's drunkard/just fought. While my man Spence was ejected from his car at a 100 mile an hour , had a second bad MVA, detached retinas and the boxing hivemind will ravage you if you suggest Crawford faced a damaged Spence. This dance is getting tiring. For what it's worth charlo had 2 pretty good counters, Canelo is just made of granite.

People saying an undisputed champ simply didn't try is an overly simplistic view when Canelo had an answer for everything he brought. Meanwhile one of Canelo's hallmarks as a fighter is making opponent reluctant to open up. A 23 year old still green Canelo had a peak highly skilled Lara on his bike conceding too many rounds. And even next level hyped beast GGG spent the rematch backing up and mostly jabbing instead of committing to his power while refusing to risk throwing to the body like usual, and in the third fight was also gun shy like Charlo. And Jacobs coming off giving GGG hell also wouldn't let his hands go for many rounds. Kovalev who's a big KO punching light heavyweight was also reluctant to commit to his power. And Smith who's massive with heavy hands was reluctant too. Meanwhile Saunders and Plant who have speed and movement and fought with more urgency got taken out. Canelo's an imposing guy to be in the ring with, he's like a bull constantly stalking forward and has explosive and accurate power. He makes fighters pay when they open up. He's got good defense and counterpunching along with rolling with punches, but even if you land your best shot, he has an ATG chin and is liable to take if unfazed and shoot back with something harder of his own. Forcing elite fighters who've never been gun shy into giving hamstrung performances is the mark of a special fighter.

This is the best boxing podcast right now, bar none. The entire nature of entertainment is metamorphosing, so Showtime dropping boxing isn't a huge death blow to the sport. But the power brokers need to understand two things: 1) you HAVE to have free boxing available on some medium in order to mint new fans; and 2) you better make the PPV rare and of huge quality and of reasonable price else you'll have 1% of fans paying for the PPV and 99% streaming it for free...

Benavides is way too big for 168, he should be at light heavyweight and i cant stand that benavides has accomplished nothing in terms of his past opponents and now hes looking for a payday. It just looks funny for him with his attributes, fighting at 168 😂

Was only just talking about Crnl Bob last week at work, may even have been the day he passed, had no idea he was unwell. Loved the man's commentating/interviewing style, read years ago in a boxing magazine that he was a rodeo bull rider in his younger days.

Canelo hits hard. On the second round, Charlo started feeling the power of a bigger man. On the 7th round, Charlo went on the survival mode. If Crawford fights Canelo, Crawford will also feel the power of a bigger man. The only difference is that Crawford will put up a fight even though he will loose to Canelo. Charlo went on survival mode during the fight.

Come on guys. Not from you guys. Terrence Crawford is one of the greatest fighters of this century. How could ever insinuate he can’t or should not fight Crawford. Maybe Marvin Hagler should of not fought Duran. When you rate boxers it doesn’t matter how wide your back is. You rate fighters on competition. For example one of the true all time greats is Oscar De La Hoya. Look at how many champions he has fought. He fought killers one after the other. If it made sense or not. He fought as a world class athlete. That is a champion. My only knock on Oscar is I wish he lived a cleaner lifestyle so we could have enjoyed a few extra years of his true greatness.

MMA has less weight classes so most fighters around a certain weight have to fight each other. Boxing has twice as much weight classes and four times the amount of belts so fighters don’t have to fight each other as much.
