All this was going in one of Naturi's ears and out the other! This "apology" was closure for Adrienne's conscience not Naturi's experience as a young woman. At the end of the day,Naturi has a GENUINE marriage,child on the way and a #1 show that requires her acting not gossiping about other celebs. Humility looks good on you Queen. 🏆
Adrienne was Keily's hype man. Whatever Keily did Adrienne backed her up. Naturi said on the Wendy Williams radio show Kiely threw a plate of KFC in her face & when Naturi told her "You have no right to hit me!" Adrienne defended Keily saying "She has every right to hit you!" Wow. Poor Naturi.

I think the reason it's hard for people, specifically dark-skin black Women to accept Adrienne's apology is because this situation is another reminder of the abuse they've faced and or are still facing. The fact that this even happened has triggered the hurt that many dark-skin women are dealing with. Situations like 3LW are very common in the black community, and unfortunately a lot of dark-skin black women don't even hear the words "I'm sorry". So for Adrienne to wait this long to apologize strikes a painful nerve for a lot of people. Dark-skin black Women deal with hate in our community and outside our community simply because they're dark-skin. And that's sad! I'm saying this because I want people who keep saying "get over it" or "move on" to understand the side of those who are having a hard time moving on. Dear dark-skin black Women, what I want you to take from this situation is although it may it be hard, you MUST forgive those who've hurt you. Not for them, but for you! As a white woman I don’t want to misspeak - I think Naturi has accepted Adriennes apology since they had already spoken about it in private but saying” I was able to apologise IF ever” is not taking full responsibility so I understand why other dark skinned women aren’t jumping at accepting these kinds of apologies when they have lived the experience time and time again without their feelings ever being truly validated. I like Adrienne a lot and I DO think she’s grown a lot but in order to take full accountability for the mistakes we’ve made it needs to be “I’m sorry I did this” or “I’m sorry when I made you feel hurt and disrespected” or “I’m sorry that I was part of the problem and didn’t act in a way I should have”. When you explain to someone that you’re upset and they say “I’m sorry IF I upset you” or “I’m sorry IF you’re hurt” it puts the blame back on you for feeling the way you do, as if it was your choice to feel disrespected.
I cried watching this I can see the hurt in her face, it's just something she can't hide, it seems they did some really nasty things to her back then. You know know matter how many times Adrianne apologize they can't undo what's been done and no matter how she probably try to smile and hide the pain the fact still remains that they robbed apart of her teen years that meant so much to her.
As a rule, I'm not a fan of apologies that include the phrase "if I made you feel." That's not an apology, that's an excuse. Own your actions and be genuine when you say you're sorry for them -- sorry, period, not sorry IF they made someone feel bad. I hope that Adrienne did a better job of conveying her apology when she and Naturi spoke in person. However, love the way Naturi responded here. She comes across as very intelligent and levelheaded. It's actually hard to believe that she and Adrienne are the same age, given how mature Naturi seems.

I honestly think Adrienne meant it. The look in her eyes and the way she embraced her heart seems very genuine. Maybe Naturi didn’t really accept it and that’s fine but they were kids and people do grow up and some learn from their past mistakes. I honestly believe she never meant any harm towards her. She was a kid who was following another kids sister who was their manager and maybe afraid she would be kicked out of the group if she didn’t kiss ass and follow. Cut her some slack.

I am such a different person than who I was at 16. If you’re not are you even growing?? If anyone can tell me with confidence as a 30+ year old adult that you are the same person you were when you were 16 and that your values and morals have not changed at all I would say to you you’re probably an awful person. There is nothing wrong with growing and changing as a person. It’s okay to change your mind and realize you were a bad person. It’s the fact you even realize at all. She did say they spoke privately and I’m sure that conversation was much more honest and candid.
A real apology would have been "I am sorry my actions or non-actions had an impact on you. I take responsibility for them and I apologise to you" not " If I ever... didn't mean to..." all show for the camera for the sake of her persona.

To have hot food thrown at you, or being bullied because of your skin color, or them trying to get her to sleep with a guy so the group can have a place on the tour is fcked up. I know her apology seems fake but on the other side, Adrienne recently revealed on an episode that one thing she learned about her younger self is that speaking up is okay. She said in the early years of her career she’d see a lot of “bad things” in the industry, such as how people are treated, but was always silent because she’d shut off. Perhaps it relates to this 3WL drama?
Adrienne basically apologized for being a follower and defending Kiely's action in cursing at her and throwing a plate of food in her face. If Adrienne is apologizing, it has to be some truth in the whole food being thrown thing.

Apologize or not forgive but never forget sometimes i really rock with Adrienne and then other times i don't cuz shes flat out a monkey see monkey do. Even when tamar was on the show she would chime in with joking about Jennie or certain things tamar had to say and then when tamar left she would through shots lowkey or agree with the low key shots that were being thrown. She seems like one of those people that aren't the bully...however she will not do anything to stop it. Tbh i think she only apologized because of the circumstances and guilt...its crazy she acts like she always been this godly girl blahh blahh blahh but she is a chameleon she'll morph into whoever she's around or that can get her places and or makes her look good.

From Adrienne’s perspective, she is reflecting on the past when they were teenagers and as an adult realizing how badly Naturi was treated she’s remorseful for contributing to Naturi’s mistreatment being that they were influenced by adults at a young age. From Naturi’s perspective she’s appreciative of the apology, but at the same time she’s the one who had to endure the constant mistreatment and ostracism from the girls and the adults around them so she can’t open heartedly accept said apology
Adrianne has an image to maintain. At the end of the day she’s apologizing because she don’t want anyone to come for her. There is something very phony about her.
If I recall correctly, Naturi had more of a problem with Kiely. Kiely's "mother", who was actually Kiely's older sister/legal guardian (her name is Michelle Williams funnily enough) was 3LW's manager and most of the issues with the group stemmed from that fact. They thought they could kick Naturi out of the group, replace her and go on and continue having success, like Destiny's Child had done. Adrienne did a Kelly/Michelle and stayed in her place since she wasn't trying to get the boot either. I feel bad for both Naturi and Adrienne for having to be in a group were favoritism is shown to one member over the others. It's nice to see Naturi and Adrienne together now. Whether the apology Adrienne gave in this clip is genuine or not, it doesn't really matter as they have both put that whole situation behind them.

Not seeing the "fakeness" that most are talking about. People are criticizing Adrienne but fail to realize she was a teenager at the time this all went down. I don't believe she contributed to the bullying but I do believe she stood around and watched it happen. She was young, broke and wanted to be famous. 3LW was her bread and butter and it's not easy walking away from something especially when you have nothing to fall back on. Yes she should have had Naturi's back but she shouldn't be punished for the rest of her life for it. People are acting as though she isn't capable of growing. She apologized for it and Naturi accepted it. The real issue is Kiely who hasn't taken accountability for anything which is clearly why she is where she is today. She has made it clear that if she was given the chance to apologize she wouldn't. If you look back at old interviews she was always agressive as hell.
We all remember when they tried to let her go for being dark hue. I am glad people of the same or similar ethnicity who are not dark are speaking out against Colorism. If your are a lighter tone Mexican or African-American mixed race or full who can pull off looking White and see someone darker being mistreated speak up! The only way to end it is to include all skin hues in Hollywood India and Asia has this problem as well.
I find it soooo crazy that out of all of this time Adrienne has been on The Real the only girl group she would mention that she was apart was The Cheetah Girls she rarely mentioned 3LW. Every sentence that came out of her mouth was "You know I was apart of a girl group called The Cheetah Girls." Now that Nautri is successful & her name is getting big, now Adrienne wants to mention "I knew Naturi since I was a teen, we were in the girl group 3LW together." Why do people wait until you make it to say that they know you? FAKE!
You can tell from this interview Adrienne AND Naturi were bullied whether it was naturi about her color or Adrienne about her legs and voice. Those adults (and Keily) should have been ashamed of themselves for putting those girls against each other.
Using the word "if" in an apology is ok because sometimes a person may not know what they have done to the other person. That's where the word "if" comes into play. As long as there is an apology with it I think its okay. But if the person who is apologizing knows what they have done "if" should not be inserted into the apology. Ijs
