i had no experience but it was pretty easy and straight forward. if you've never repaired a hole before, this is a good way to go. after you're done you'll feel confident enough to figure out your own solution the next time you have to repair a hole.

If the back surface of the wall isn't good or you're concerned about the black screen falling down into the wall, you can just spackle around the edges of the hole while holding the strap, then hold the strap for a bit or tape the strap to the wall and let it dry for a couple hours before cutting the strap off and spackling in the remaining space. Or just put some Krazy glue on it!

Just get a little piece of used wood in home Depot $0.30 screws little patch wall $3 done in 10 mins!!🤔🤔👍👍

I just used it, seems ok. Just my problem was a plumbing pipe in the wall dead center and a stud just off to the side. I got it in but we shall see it it holds.

3M products have never disappointed me until this one. I purchased the Backer Plate seperate, opened it, began to make repair. Look at the rear of the outer package. There is enough area to avoid making the letters microscopic for the instructions. NO PROBLEM SEEING the BOLD CALIFORNIA CANCER P65WARNINGS. After I decoded the nano font I discovered a wooden 2x4 stud on the left side. It is preventing me from having any sheet rock for the "BACKER PLATE" to pull flush upon on the left side of my repair . Any suggestions before I return this product would be appreciated.

is there a different kit for holes that are up to 6 inches?

If my paint has primer in it? Is it still recommended to use one?

I’m trying to put the plate in the hole, but the insulation is in the way… any ideas?

Tried this and it didn’t stick well enough to stay in place when I plastered. Ended using another similar product with an inflatable back block which was better.

Simultaneously the first and worst spackle kit I've ever used. Followed the instructions exactly. The black screen peeled off and fell down into the wall after I spackled it perfectly. 20 bucks down the drain.

Someone please help me bring my system to the market. It kicks the xxxx out of this very expensive and it’s quicker and better I have a dual system it can repair holes that finishes smooth and flush with the original with much less sanding. surface quicker easier better the other part is the worlds strongest wall anchor it is so strong I can put one in a ceiling and hang from it. Oh and this is the least expensive of them all.
