Due to the fact that it is so light, the glare reduction is minimal. However, it will definitely be better than not having it.

@@thebongpianist35 Glare reduction is relative to how dark the film is. The darker it is the more glare it blocks. But be wary of how dark you choose to go for the windshield due to state laws and visibility at night for your safety.

We have never heard of that llumar "pp" film. We do stand behind CR that it is the best heat rejection film on the market. CR is the only film we carry that comes in 60%. Although we have other lines of film that have 50% or 70%. Hope this helps!

Hey butch thanks for the comment! Window tint is installed on the inside of the vehicle and is not designed to be exposed to the elements. We do have paint protection films and vinyl wrap which goes on the exterior to protect it from damage and uv rays or even change the color! Many different options to choose from with exterior films! Yes absolutely. FXHP20 visible light transmitted (VLT) is 23% where as the CS20 is 19%. CS20 is actually pretty dark we have seen it meter to as low as 13% on a window. Consider FXHP20 more of a traditional 20% where CS20 has more characteristics of a 15% film. Thanks for asking!

Hey man have a cts v coupe here I have 5 percent 3m IR all around thinking of doing crystalline 50 percent windshield. Did you do your windshield ?

I wouldnt say that dark. Maybe close to a 15 though. Crystalline 20 is a darker 20% than most others

The most popular shade we sell is 20%. This is what you see on most standard factory stained glass on the back of SUVs/ trucks that come from the dealerships. You could also try a 15% but for some they might have a little trouble with night visibility especially if they drive where there is not a lot of lights. Hope this helps!

@@ztechwindowtint I procrastinated but I finally made the appointment for next week. My only concern is I have a '21 Forester and Subarus come with the EyeSight Cameras/Sensors between the visors. Some people have reported the sensors not working properly with the tint even if it's clear tint. I may have to hold off on the windshield especially since Subaru advises against even touching those cameras. It sucks.

You have to be an authorized dealer to use 3m products but there are many brands out there that you can choose from. Do a little research and see what works best for you. There is plenty of videos on youtube that will help you. Good luck!

A great film for security however not nearly as demanded as the options shown in this video. We still do install that film every now and then upon request, as we are the only 3M "Pro Shops" in illinois we can get any 3M film. Thanks for watching!

Yes 3M does have a ceramic line (CM). We carry the non-metallized nano-carbon lines color stable (CS) and crystalline (CR), which are similar to ceramic.

No you need acoustic glass for that. Tint might help to some extent but it is still paper thin, so difference might be negligible

We are a 3M Pro Shop - the only 2 stores in illinois! We carry all 3m window film products, however, we can not sell them over the counter. You have to be certified dealer to be able to purchase film from 3m.

Unfortunately none of these films are bulletproof. However, 3m does make a security film called 3m Scotchshield Security Series! This film helps to hold glass fragments in place when glass is shattered, providing additional personal and property security for you. Although I don't believe the film is 100% bullet proof this would likely be your closest bet. We also carry an exterior film that you can check out called Clearplex by Madico that is mostly applied to front windshields and is designed to take a lot of abuse. We have seen some videos on youtube where people shoot bullets at it and it does not penetrate the film! Hope this helps!

Our crystalline tint outperforms ceramic tint. This video is also 5 years old. Now 3M has Ceramic IR tint as well. We will make a new video showing that eventually.

Heat reduction is important to many people especially with medical conditions. If putting an incredibly engineered product, designed by some of the most intelligent people in the industry, on a vehicles windows can better someone's driving experience in any way that benefits their life, it is most certainly a valid reason to purchase it. Heat can be transferred into a vehicle in many ways - the films we sell can put a big halt on heat coming thru the windows. None of these films claim to be the overall solution to heat permeating into the vehicle dealing with hot metal panels etc., however, we know from years of experience that a film such as 3M Crystalline does an incredible job at keeping the interior cool.

Lol silly comment. Must have never been in a vehicle with good quality tint on the windshield to feel the difference. ALOT of heat comes from the windshield & it also damages the dash after a long period of time.

The statistics prove different. The car is metal so the car can still get hot and radiate into the vehicle. As far as heat coming thru the windows it definitely makes a drastic difference.

@@ztechwindowtint thanks but that is nothing more than just ricer talk like adding an intake will get you 20hp. There are two heat waves, short wave from the sun and long wave from Earth....the tint display of blocking heat in all the stores I've been in are is bullshit.
