From what I see STL could sell and be big but I also see talent that may have to separate themselves from the life to fully invest in the music and craft. I looked up Stl rap on RU-vid cuz I haven't heard much lately from here. I come to find out that most of the talent is locked up or dead. St. Louis rap scene back in 2016 was a different era of talent that nobody had a chance to really hear unless you were from the Lou. Real pain but passion in the voices of many rappers who are still going with war scars and memories of the past, them late nights riding around the city, barbecue smell in the air with sirens in the background a fusion of music and sirens while you drive through the summer nights in the Lou seeing the sunset giving the city a yellow haze that night time is near. Only a few can really relate to that view of life, other ears were tuned into the mainstream but many of those who managed to find the hidden gems of St. Louis rappers a fusion of blues and drill music telling the painful but realistic side of the streets were in luck of a diverse music scene that only a few can really understand. St. Louis was not for the industry because it bent the rules of many, no sugar coat, just straight raw facts that has the listener thinking to himself, man why isn’t he famous yet?
