As mentioned on the video: I couldn't guarantee that the sweetspot is at exactly 85. Since the increment is at 2, it's safe to say that the sweetspot is around 84-85-86
I think 2k labs would make a stink about it. I don’t have any evidence but having personally worked in similar-dynamic environments I can tell you there is always more drama than you think.
Nah any basic-intermediate level programming course will be enough for something like this. It’s literally only 1 if statement and 1 else if. But i do understand why someone with no background knowledge of it would think that.
@@jahanbaxterand how many guys who have a 2k channel that pumps out daily helpful 2 minute long videos are willing to go out of their way to even think of writing out their own scripts? just stfu be an be grateful
They knew what they were doing with this, put limitless at 83, average player struggles more than expected bc theres a big green window jump just up 2 attributes at 85, "time to make a new build"
@bingo567890 no, just lazy conspiracy theorizing. 70 and 75 can hit 3pt especially with rhythm shooting. Just because sweet spot looks like 85 doesnt mean no one can hit with lower, come on now.....
This man is legit the goat. We all have to like all his vids when he release so he can grow into what he is meant to be. A hero of the 2k community and a wallet guardian
85 makes sense as sweet spot as most bigs is somewhere around there 85-86 for max 3pt threshold. Wouldn't make sense to build a stretch without a shooting bump.
@@xC0NFID3NC3x both are pretty solid testers but i understand what you mean but the data is out there to the public definitely worth the time to look into
I'm old school, I don't like playin as Snipers, I'd rather take it inside the perimeter MJ style. But I'll shoot a 3 every once in a while, average about 2 attempts per game.
If you’re relying on your 3pt rating to green, then this video will be helpful for you. Knowing your shot is all you need but of course there are minimum requirements to green your shots consistently. Having a high midrange to acquire the shooting badges you need to boost your shot is the foundation of shooting as it is cheaper than your 3pt attribute upgrades. Shooting with a 70 3pt works just fine and shooting above 40% this year from 3 as long as you know your shot like i said. For those worried about your 3pt rating, don’t sweat it. This video is stated for average players and that’s okay if you are, just make sure your midrange is up and your 3pt rating will be just fine.
Started with a board grabbing 7 footer with 76 and it was a struggle to shoot 45% now have a 6’9 with 79 and feel much better and especially fading and using the rhythm dribble. Can’t wait to try out something higher tho
Tutes, I have a question that you may or may not be able to answer. I have an 88 3-ball and that is its max rating, so i cannot add cap breakers to it. Now with these takeovers, where you get +2, +4, +6... to your 3pt rating in game, do those actual boosts actually take your rating beyond its max, during your takeover boost?
Appreciate your hardwork tutes. Curious to know if you were actually shooting in the center of the green window, what the percentage would be from different ratings. 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 99
Have a 75 3ball shooting 43% for the season. But I’ll say learning my shot and hot zones I’ve shot 61% the last 3 days 😮 so I don’t think high 3ball is bad but gotta learn your shot. Seen PLENTY of dudes with a 94 3ball last year shooting 23% from 3pt 😂😂😂
I find personally 83 is fine, only with hotspots and max badges though. I struggle to shoot in cold zones even with take over/dimer buffs, plus I heard even if you hit the green window it’s not always a green and that the game is coded that way
@@iiammchristiann my 7'1 has 90 but i left it at 81 for silver rise up my new 7'0 also has 81 i think with no Precision Dunker Badge standings don't feel the same
can you do a vid on post fade phenom? I was testing a build and I was greening fading hop shots from 3. Idk if its the difficulty of the game when you test your build, but this badge might be insane on legend
might be in the settings, there's two place to change the timing, in the shot editor and in the controler settings. If you are using both correct I do feel it too but only with the X/square button I don't feel it with the joystick, my theory is the X/square button has higher action threshold and triggers later than the visual cues.
Ngl im mad because in the builder i was debating on 83 or 84 3pt. I ended up going with 83 even though i noticed i was greening better with 84. I noticed that in 2k24 my build with 84 3pt hit so consistent vs 82.
In my own non scientific findings, myself (who is always bad at shooting) and my friend (who is always worse at shooting) have been sparking up this year on stand still shots with a 74 3pt and enough mid to get silver set shot specialist. We both play high risk
Thats been the wave since 24 honestly high middy gets you good bases and badges last year was shooting almost 70% from 3 with a inside the arch finisher build 94 driving so fun. Lol
@@Thelonous this is not factoring badges. Most of the people you see with a 75-80 have a midrange to unlock jump shots and badges which are expanding the window. I’m just trying to understand whether or not mid range or three point no mid range is better value from a shootin perspective
@cccccccccmh The best shooting animations are at 80 and 84 (Suggs and Caruso). Set Shot ranks up at 78. If you're not utilizing the middie on your build or in your play style, crank it to 80 three pointer and call it a day imo. Otherwise I'd run 80 middie and 78 three so that you unlock post fade Phenom gold.
Ngl my shot was wet from 71 3pt and a high middy but it’s a 80 now only was shooting on the 71 because I didn’t upgrade the player all the way up yet. I shot 3/4 from 3 in multiple games
I think you should stop practicing in mycourt for shooting. It’s on rookie mode. Changing the settings doesn’t apply unless you start one of the game modes listed. Create a fake proam team and go shoot in there for similar settings.
So anything under 85 3pt is worthless basically? Who wants to shoot wide open and time it right but 2k says nope... You know your shot and you're open but we're gonna make you miss anyway....🤷🤦
Whats the reason to have that big of a jump from 83 to 85? 83 should be the sweet spot if you unlock limitless on bronze. It doesnt looks like a big difference as it should be from 83 to 82 and lower ratings
@@BrightSuds it does but take into consideration it’ll go down when ur cold or playing bad too so I would still go 85 so u can get that effect with no take over meter
You killing the other 2k content creators with the consistent output of knowledge based /testing videos that aim to improve the players experience . Meanwhile everyone else is gatekeeping , clickbaiting, or behind some pay wall
Can you do a video about max stats for exemple if i have 95 3 pts if my takeover or red badges or shooting boost give me +7 or more do i have 102 or more or it stop to 99
TUTES IM begging here brother we need to know if legend posterizer is worth it or not it takes so much to get that just by keeping it at hof you gain so much in the builder
Much appreciated work! In continuity could you do a video about the Mini Marksman badge ? I don’t know if I need to have it on Gold or if Silver is more than enough.
They change that 3 point shooting from my court to rec elite comp players are barely shooting over 50% it’s the game not the jump shot 2k didn’t want us to shoot 70% from 3 like before
I hate that I spend $70 on this game. I consider myself a 2k casual and I hate this year's shooting. I'm about to go back to Wukong until Black Ops 6 comes out.
@@theyreruiningusathese people too used to instant gratification💯and half the time they suck anyways😂..i was playin theatre yestarday for the first time (had the game since it came out wed😂had to lab first)..and i was hittin more 3's than i missed..had to make a jumpshot but that bih cash money now..hittin 3's, middy fades, gettin to the rim no problem💯
Im so happy i watched this...im currently cooking up my second build and last time i was in the builder i put 3 ball down to 83 from 85 puttting that back to 85 asap
Although it is not proven, I believe that the boost jumpshot is enough for you to reach this sweetspot, because in 2020 or 2021, I don't remember, the sweetspot was 85, and my character was 82, and it was a much higher sweetspot, I felt a noticeable difference with boost jumpshot, another character who had 80 of 3 points, even with boost, I didn't see that difference, even with the same jumpshot.
Could you do a video testing how strength affects dunks? It's a difficult thing to test but I am defo noticing I get kicked out of a lot of dunk animations even when using the dunk meter this year
