WoM was everything I wanted in a game when I found it -magic -open world -large world -not some game based on a show -fun nostalgic to see WoM gameplay again
I remember joining WoM when the first village area was unfinished, there was no river, no magic council, just a small village and a long dirt road on an expansive green baseppate
i was addicted to WoM when I came across it. i got max on multiple saves but deleted them for no particular reason. i still hate myself to this day for deleting them.
Man. How nostalgic. I am not gen 3 but gen 4 and man i miss those days. The npc's felt alive back then. [ david silver still op ngl. And exiled sword op beyond op ( i lost it bruh ) ]
this i somehow nostalgic asf to me.. even though i didn't play WoM that much, i just played it cause it was similar to arcane adventures, i didn't know it was the same dev...
I'm a fourth gen but I still feel heavy nostalgia because me and my friend struggled tirelessly to level up in the blank canvas of WoM. We were super sad when WoM was discontinued.
i loved destroying summer camp with plasma, the threat system was so great and i loved WoM and the fact that if your renown was low, npc's would run from you and quest npcs being asleep just makes the game so much more unique
I hoped that I still had my first roblox account. I played AA with it but never committed much. Now that I am older, I now wished to have understand it better.
I never played WoM all that much, but i fond memories from when i played Arcane Adventures all those years ago. It was a simpler time. Odyssey knocked my socks off when i first played it, and i was so hyped for it every time i saw the teasers. May this god blessed game never die
as a 2nd gen, back in my day we didn't have any "magic councils" or "minotaurs" or whatever, we had 7 magics and theos the war phoenix and we ran with it
As a gen 1. i was happy about the game, nice and all but pretty sad that it does'nt get much content updates, id like to see more history and progression you know? not things to explore, i remember playing with my friend the arcane adventures and we stopped cuz of the final boss was so hard and u needed to grind so much for it, but yeah, great game nostalgia hits hard cuz i remmeber playing the older games with my brother and now we dont even play shit together.
i've played AA when i was on one account, it got hacked and i played Aracane LEGACY and not ADVENTURES so i'm not gen2 but i've played AAback when only it existed... this was almost 10 years ago... damn.
WoM is like the little brother you wanna have some dumb fun with, while AO is like the older brother who means serious business and is more focused on being great rather than having dumb fun
World of Magic really was a good game I enjoyed every bit of it especially the lag bringing magic council And stupid me wasted 600 robux on 3 extra slots
Nobody seemed to notice, but in the dark sea update they gave rivals the old high battle theme from WoM. Its a pretty neat detail. You find your rival and this loud boss music comes in
World of Magic in my opinion is way better when it comes to playing as a villian since NPCs actually re act to how you do stuff and destryoing villages was way more fun than Arcane odyssey.
gen 3 is for playing wom during beta so if you have any of the open test badges you would be gen 3, if you played wom after that you would get gen 4 and if you only played AO you would get gen 5
Vetex should really have developed this game rather than making a whole new storyline. People are just not so much interested in storylines nowadays. If he does not want to develop it, maybe hand over the ownership to someone else to develop WoM. It is the best game in the world.
@@EnjadorWoM would take place 1000 years after AA, when magic pollution from Durza's two blows clear out and all landmasses unite into a single great continent called magius. But it was retconned with AO, that takes place exactly after the Wrath of the Gods (as a palo town NPC tells us about recent changes in the weather). It happens in a sea cluster far away from the seven seas, called the War Seas, and many of the curses not shown in AA are actually here all along. Neither the Seven Seas nor the War Seas know of each other's existence because the Dark Sea is in the middle, a massive area of extreme amounts of magic energy and chaos that makes it unlivable and separates humanity into small, archipelagal bubbles of safe space. The dark sea was created by chaos itself and durza's first skill issued' explosion aimed at Theos, which caused an apocalypse worldwide
as a generation 1 player, i didn't enjoy WOM because it took away from the sea/pirate aspect AA had but i'm happy people still liked it. wish paper magic was a magic in AO though
@@ryuu6271 yeah because you probably played arcane adventures when it was free right?. You needed to have AA paid access to get 2nd gen. i played a fair bit of aa as well but i was literally a child so i couldnt buy the game
I recently just played AO, like after the Dark Sea Update is when I started. It was still World of Magic the last time I played, back when the sunken set was just firstly released I believe. Still had my characters and stuff too when I started, though back to level 1. I always wondered why I was a gen 1 player unlike others who are usually 3-5. I rarely see other gen 1 players. I never really understood what Generations mean until recently when I did my research. Just seeing the names of both Online Fighting and Arcane Adventures was something else I never felt for awhile.
This genuinely made me tear up. I remember I used to play WoM so much, and when it got discontinued I was devastated. Though arcane odyssey is a really cool game, I really like the whole giant landmass part of WoM instead of the oceans.
yeah i loved when: jumps cost stamina you can grab hostages you could attack EVERY SINGLE NPC in the game everything was destructible you could be a villian at lv 1 villian quests villian npcs + wandering npc lv 500 boss at summer hold oh good days..
isnt that only for people who played the beta of arcane adventures and even there its only the 2nd generation pre sure 1st gens are from vetex's first game online fighting
As a 1st generation, I remember vividly arriving in front of the Fire Curse for the first time... I remembered every single island in that game, I even remembered the main theme on the main menu... That hit pretty hard. I wish someone would remake Online Fighting really bad, it was just too good.
As someone who spent 300 hours straight in WoM i can say that this was one of the best games ever for being roblox, if WoM was finished it will be a really good game tbh
I started with Arcane Adventures in the beta, I was too young to see that this game was a continuation of it. Now that I’m playing Arcane Odyssey, I’m realizing the experience I missed.
Gen 1 is the first game vetex made, smth like arcane battlegrounds, gen 2 is arcane adventures gen 3 is wom open testing, gen 4 is wom full release and gen 5 is arcane odyssey
I loved WoM and I loved AA even if I wasn't good at those games. They were like revolutionary pieces of art to Roblox. Unfortunately, that account was terminated so I'm just gen 5 now
What I miss a lot about WoM is how you could fish in Ironport and other ppl would come join you and you'd have conversations about random shit. It just doesn't happen in AO from my experience.
5th gen: imagine so bad haha L be mad he teamed haha L LOOL - Ptarri Ptarri is some random ahh 5 yo who had to team to kill me. (I am a light conjourer and I was laggy 💀 I made a vid roasting and explaining their clan, also fake fame. They have 1m. They hunted me and saved me from execution to kill again.)
I was really shocked when I realized I can destroy buildings. And my main reason to play it was to destroy the biggest tower and beat all the guys that chases me
How about arcane adventures? WoM didn't really appealed to me bcs it didn't gave me the same experience as arcane adventures, but with AO the same experience from AA really brings me back
