Best 2 out of 3 it was nerve wrecking cause the score was zero for both. We believed she did enough to win, but you could never know how the ref will judge this since she did more in her first match with him and still lost.
Final and deciding round! Nerve wrecking is the understatement of the year! 0:12 Guard secured... 0:53 Triangle position secured... 1:00 Triangle locked! Boy fights hard... 1:52 Ooh, nice transition to armbar! Boy is a real fighter and she eventually loses the armbar but gets a guillotine on him just before time runs out! 3:12 Boy knows he lost, but... 3:43 Boy can't believe the Ref raised her hand! He is upset! Well, it WAS a tough match... Hey, he can be proud he wasn't subbed by Evangelena! And he should appreciate the great lesson she gave him. I hope they shook hands... I think if she had kept the triangle from 1:52 she probably would have got the sub as there was still about a minute and 20 seconds left. Congratulations to Evangelena on this hard-fought win, and respect to the boy for making her work hard for it.
I would have given the boy the benefit of the doubt by letting him tap because at no time was he in any pain or I'm sure he would've done so, it's hard to accept a premature decision by a ref in that situation. These are very competitive kids an to go out in such away is heart breaking 💔 I understand how the boy feels. he doesn't know he lost if he didn't tap.
In this tournament they do a round Robin, in which they do the best or of 3 wins. He won one match she won another This was a tie breaker. She was more active and had more advantages against him cause she was going for more submissions while he was just defending. Now if both steal and no one had points it would come down to the refs decisions. As you can see when the match ended he looked at the score and she was ahead of him he knew he lost.
@@phonexayc1977 did the ref stop the match based on points or submission there was still a minute 20 secs left, I saw no sub I thought that was his complaint
