Back at Edison I won a Dark End playing 44 cards but I was playing vayusworn in an under 12 event lol so it is weird that my biggest critique is playing 43 cards. When I theorize how to play GBs I tend to lean towards the build Hydropump posted a month ago that revolves around protecting against heavy storm with roads or bribes (even tho I hate dark bribe) playing no tigers and just going gladiator set 5 if you can. I do feel like if you play no power cards like cat tiger prisma you def need to play morphing jar multiple trap stun 3 proving ground. I think I would max out on 1 ancient forest the hedge guard still seems a little sketch for more than 1 and at most I would side one. Pole position is cool tho. Overall really solid list has explosive plays looks pretty consistent I just would never copy a deck card for card anyway even if we were playing in the same exact tournament meta bc my personal preferences are just too strong. Nice decklist broski and your techs. Last deck I played irl was GB’s. Found out my locals has Edison format, planning to make a GB deck again cause it’s affordable too lol
FINALLY someone else who plays over 40 cards; honestly I might even prefer 50 cards and just play 3 proving ground + 3 respite to let you sculpt your hand easier, but yeah anything to draw secutor less
Congrats bro good vid. Just wanna add one thing, ancient forest has a third really good application for GBs, you can use it to dodge bottomless/torrential since the flipping up effect is not a summon. That's all I wanted to add, loved the tech choices in the main and side and definitely will be considering some of the options you used. Congrats again!
Pole Position is one of the most interesting old school cards. U can play it even with trunade. in glads it gives u a chance to play bestiary from ur deck, so u dont have to destroy ur own traps/spells. It has so many difficult rulings so u can steal a win sometimes. Infinit-loop-locks for decks with spell cards, that increase ATK, like Soli BW. Some good combos with magic planter. When i started to watch Edison content, one of my first ideas was to play Mist Valley Falcon- Pole position control deck, but no .. he is not allowed in edison :D U have a great understanding of building a GB deck, like ur thoughts on Road and not playing storm, force, TT. I couldt bring it xD, so I played almost in all my old glads trap stun and oppression. Increasing the deck size, to play more traps.. don't remeber to do it in 2010, but then 2011-2013 most of my glads were 42 card decks. we had to play heavy traps, because Konami printed stronger and stonger card xDD. Not my style of Gladi deck, but it is realy great!
Interesting build man, so far I like this build of GBs the most. If I am looking at this list it is 43 cards, which is a interesting choice. Would you change anything going forward?
@@murray5105 that makes a huge difference, I was worried I would lose my monsters. Definitely will run more in the side deck for when I play vs monarchs for example.
