3uTools Includes Spyware?!? - [NO LONGER WORKS] 

As emsee pointed out in my video comments, I accidentally did the Windows Host File.... backwards. Innocent mistake, but cut that part from the video. You CAN block this via windows Host file in c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, open host in notepad/notepad++, add 127.0.0.1 then save it/overwrite the host file and its blocked system wide

you can still block it in DNS and it works, it won't connect and steal any information about your device (NextDNS, Adguard etc.)

It’s a shame there isn’t any other tool as handy as 3U that doesn’t log your device.

Hi, Is it safe to use the jailbreak tool after patching the program? After patching when I click on jailbreak I get a notification from windowsdefender saying it contains a virus and then it stops jailbreaking at 10%.

Hi, i just repaired my iphones on repair shop and suddenly this app appears on my phones, I did check (clicked the app) first then i noticed that i did not download it so i uninstall it immidietly. Would it install spyware or took all my data and be able to see what i see on my phone? Thankyou and sorry for bad english

I was wondering if they have removed the spyware because when i try to find the link it isnt there and i only see certificate links, etc. ive seen on reddit that they maybe have not removed it so im pretty confused because there isnt a link or something that could be sending data. Maybe you know something that i dont or im just being stupid. if you know anything abt this respond asap because i need 3u tools for a project!!. thank you and i hope you can tell me how to patch it out or even make a updated tutorial!

Doubt this would have any effect I'm afraid. They can easily download all that data to any other URL they use for their program, which means blocking it completely in your firewall but then it wouldn't function properly. Patching it out via a HEX or Notepad editor through the files either doesn't really do anything either as the URLs could be in non-plain text, just because one shows up in plain text doesn't mean it's not anywhere else in program with it just being unreadable machine code through a HEX/Notepad editor. I'd say it's time to stop using this tool and look for an alternative, not worth putting your IMEI and other personal data at risk.

From what I gathered this whole outcry is coming from jailbreaking communities, very same people who condone piracy, fw and software exploits, etc. As that saying goes play with fire and you get burned, 3uTools is essentially a hack utility, of course it will be shady that should go without saying and users should know risks before using it, plus it's closed source so that doesn't play in its favor either, I mean their website is not secure ffs. So many companies collect our data and sell it off on daily basis but people still trust and use Microsoft or Google products because they can't be bothered to learn about security safety measures to protect their private data and that's fine not everyone has to be tech savvy. But I find it ridiculous that people claim there is not only spyware but rootkit, keyloggers and even crypto miners packed within this software without any empirical evidence. I think only reason people are blowing this out of proportions is because this tool was written by Chinese developer and China will be forever demonized by the west, switch nationality to Anglo-American/West European and suddenly nobody cares anymore. With all this being said, I still prefer the "manual" or rather more difficult methods of jailbreaking simply because I'm not a fan of these "one click" exploits and only use it as file management app. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

you edited your HOSTS file wrong. you're literally routing all your loopback request to their log server. essentially giving them ALL your browsing info for FREE lol. you should prob remake this video...
