Thanks for the info, I just replace the knock sensor and pigtail on my 90. However 2 months down the road, same code 52. Even though I've tested back to the ecu to see ac voltage when tapping the engine to simulate knock. I also have two ECUs that I've reolaced the caps in. I did see forum thread where it was interference from the alternator. So coax cable back to the ECU seemed to work for him. Gonna try to diagnose mine tomorrow. BTW nice meter, everyone should have one!

@@williearias180 I ended up just replacing the knock sensor that was 2 months old, and haven't had it throw the code since. I tested the knock sensors side by side and couldn't see a difference, so maybe it was some other issue I fixed on accident but either way the problem is gone.

@@jessematherly5617 Brand of knock sensor? I don't remember, whatever they had at advance Auto I think. And my code 52 went away after replacing it a second time. Must have been just a little out of spec or something.

@jessematherly5617 get a good one. Don't go cheap. A lab scope is need to test the frequency. Recommend changing the sub harness as well and make sure it is shielded.

Great job, I got the same problem but in idle I'm not get the knock I believe it's coming from the the transmission stress, I believe something Is wrong in the transmission that stresses out the motor to cause my knock cause it was rebuilt but think something is wrong their cause it doesn't want to go pass second it boggs down. Anyway great job 👍
