The light fixtures throw me off,black while everything else is chromium (metal,I don’t know how to say it in English) the counter top and cabinet is fine with the tiles.Only the lights and somewhat the very modern shape of the mirror,thankfully easy fixes.

@@123eva2 yes its not super cohesive in that sense. they should keep the same fixture finish throughout the home. I am not too fond of the lights. they are dramatic but as you say it makes one area look updated and the other not as much. if the update matched the shower tile, it would look more cohesive. I can't deny i love it. its a nice change and great character than just modern light colors. it ties in with the charm of the out door colors and archtexture

This Spanish home is very traditional and welcoming on the outside, with beautiful satillo tiles and a tile roof. Being almost 100 years old, aged 1926, the home must have been a challenge to accentuate and utilize the relatively low footage effectively. The designer made smart choices in color, and attractive design elements, and also creating an illusion of additional space. I am especially impressed by the gorgeous transformations in the upstairs kitchen and bathroom. The counters, cabinets, etc., tie in together beautifully. The downstairs really adds additional sqare footage, and although somewhat modern, ties into the overall high quality of the home.

OMG! I LOVE ❤ EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOUSE. I love the beautiful style with the tiles. I love everything about the kitchen. The only thing I would change is that I would put the office downstairs near the primary bedroom being as there is no full bath. I would then have two bedrooms on the first floor with the full bath. I really Love Drew's attitude & enthusiasm. I also respect him for giving "his team" the accolades they deserve. Especially the designer, who did such a fantastic job. Overall, that house is so amazing that I wish I could purchase it right this moment. He probably already sold it though. Whoever bought it will be extremely happy there. I know I would. Please bring him back. He's so sweet 🥰🌻

30k for a small kitchen. California is so much more expensive than other parts of the US. I have learned to expect crazy high prices when I watch Alisa's channel but still plenty of great ideas for me to incorporate in my own home remodel for far less cost. Thanks for these excellent videos!!

Half bath issue: this reminded me of my teenage years. If there is a full bath with a tub/shower accessible without entering someone else's bedroom, that will work. So, if there is room to insert a door, that might be more practical than trying to work a half bath into a full bath. My parents did not mind that I used their shower, since I did not have to go through their bedroom. Ditto when I stayed at a friend's house where the guest room only had a half bath. Obviously, it depends on the location of the full bath.

Wow, what a unique and interesting house! I really liked that they kept the colorful tiles in the main level bathroom. The colorful tiles seem to fit the style of this house really well. However, I probably would not buy this house because of the odd floor plan with living room on the downstairs level. Despite that, I found it very interesting how the other real estate company approached the challenges of this unique house. I'm glad you featured it here! 🙂

as a cat owner I am loving the bedroom window downstairs and imagining it as a catio with cat safe plants xD I love the kitchen and the bathroom upstairs is amazing. the original tilework is so fun and matches well with the outside of the home.

They shouldn't have skimped on the replacing both the floor tile and shower tile in the guest bathroom. The current install is extremely dated and the white color is well worn. Sell it however you may, but I'd be immediately turned off from the property because of it. In addition, the other bathroom looks very dated as well for the same reasons. Not necessarily a "finished product" as Drew states.

I found that the subtle colors of the shower tile in the guest bathroom had a great deal of authentic charm - the shiny new vanity, by contrast, was clean looking but very conventional IMHO

Really nicely done. I wish all you guys were in LA. I have a 1400sqft house and everyone estimates over 100k for my kitchen alone, and I have other things I need to do too. That seems crazy to me, so I haven't done anything yet. Also going to look at your house flipping program as I'm wondering if I would just be better of putting this money in real estate vs updating my house.

They should have taken the money spent on the solar tubes and put it into updating the bathrooms more. This was a very uneven flip--and while I like color, the kitchen was waaay too personalized!

A large chunk of that money went to the designer no way that light remodel would cost $70k without a designer. The kitchen is what took the largest portion of that budget I would estimate 20-30k due to the appliances.

This home is beautiful and well done. It's a home I'd like to live in. I do, however, think the grey counter tops in the kitchen are the wrong color. They should have been white. I also think the blue tile backsplash is too dominant which is distracting. Less tile would have looked better. The kitchen might have turned me off from buying this house, but I'm sure I'm in the minority.

House is beautiful Great job. Love it. But this is house is for sale at 2,795,000. Yes at 1700 sq ft. I will never understand why regardless of the supply and demand equation its getting ridiculous. Homes continue to climb in price and many families get left behind. I'm a native So. Californian and work with hundreds of families and so many are actually worried about their kids futures on how they will be able to sustain their living. We shall see.

Trend colors come & go every year! Why would anyone permanently install a trendy color? Cabinets, back splash & flooring in a kitchen which is going to be a buyers #1. Why would you limit your buying pool?

Cute, cozy home but not my favorite renovation. Main bathroom with old tile in the shower & new vanity doesn’t work well. I was turned off right away. And the kitchen was too taste specific with the blue & busy tile floor. Gold, black, silver fixtures through out the house… why?

I HATE BLUE/NAVY! Those should be accent colors, not permanent tile backslash, flooring & cabinets. That would take SO MUCH $$$ for buyers to change!

It seems you seriously narrowed your buyer market by being so specific with the blue kitchen tile. I’m also surprised you didn’t reglaze the 1st shown bathroom tile white and make it look fresh and clean.

The outside of the house is terrible with those colors. The kitchen and baths are so mix matched , I don't like old and new.That blue vanity should be in the other bathroom because it has blue tile in the shower, that marble vanity is clashing with that old stuff. Everything else is beautiful.

Eh this wasn’t very cohesive, since the budget was so small they could’ve spent a tiny bit more to update a few things that still look super outdated and make all the fixtures the same style

@@sergeihanush2262 I have installed them, too. If you get the Leviton plates, they have the hole on the bottom. But, I bought some on Amazon that have holes both on the tops and bottom-- not sure now whether it was the Enerlites plates or the Bestten ones. They were substantially less expensive than the Leviton plates, and the "unfinished-looking" top was an unpleasant surprise.

The blue isn't really done in s cohesive harmonious flow. The idea was great to use blue but it really wasn't executed well. The First Bathroom is disjointed. Poor aesthetic. Staged Office looks nice. Most cohesive room so far. Horrible choice of chandelier in office though. It looks like a crescent moon. The Second Floor is a true cohesive winner. Love how the brought natural light into the Second Floor. Bedrooms designed and styled well. The Half Bath/Laundry Room was laughable. Cabinet space on end could have been converted into a shower. A shutter like door could have been installed instead of that 3 feet pony wall.

reminding myself every video that these prices are San Fran based and if you paid a contractor for all new items. 30k for that kitchen (albeit a very nice product) is WILD.

It’s not wild to me - I live in a midwestern suburb. I’d say 30k is about a starting point here - post-Covid. I had a pre-Covid kitchen remodel for about $22k
