For being the "good " guys they sure treat hook like shit. The hurt in his eyes at the end was so sad

I hate how everyone keeps putting Hook down because he is a "pirate" like seriously they all act like he is like the biggest villain in the world. I hope he proves Charming wrong and Emma starts to have feeling for him.

"He was here longer." She looked to Hook when she said that because despite Snow, Charming, or even Regina's backstory, Emma and Hook are the only two who truly know what it's like to lose all hope, and Emma knows that.

I don't like Charming in the last scene because him saying that Hook is nothing but a pirate is very short sighted. Charming wasn't always a prince so therefore Hook might not always be a pirate or at least in the same sense Charming sees him. :( Poor Hook.

1. "he was here longer", how does Emma know how long Neil was on the island? 2. I agree that Charming came across as a jerk here, but you can't really blame him. It's his daughter, he's going to be over protective. And he saw Hook flirt with his wife, so yeah it will take awhile for him to prove himself to Charming before he will be willing to trust him with his daughter. 3. Hook did chose a bit of a bad moment to try and get close to her here. She's obviously in a hurry to try and contact Henry so he doesn't lose hope like she did. She likes him, but this wasn't the right time. As is obvious later, when after she knows Henry got their message and won't lose hope, she kisses him. Like she said when Snow asked her why she kissed him "... I was feeling good..." After their success with Henry, and knowing that he saved David's life, she allowed herself to give in to a bit of that sexual tension that's been going on between them for so long. And judging by her reaction to it, we all know she loved that kiss, even if she denied it. She didn't let go right away and it took her awhile to catch her breath.

Oh Emma Dx let him in. He's so much more than just a typical pirate - this ep proves that and now even Charming approves of him.

I'm kind of mad at Emma in this scene. I mean, here's Killian trying to connect with her, and genuinely opening up to her about himself and she's just taking it as him hitting on her. Though, on some level I do get it, Emma's never been one to get close to people, it's how she learned to survive

Emma is all about saving Henry. Apparently some people looked over her speech about losing hope in this. This is just *after* her breakdown about Neal's death to her parents. If anyone knows Emma's character, she tries to shut her emotions off every time she has to face them. For people claiming she's being cold and rejecting Hook. Hook chose the wrong time to comfort her because she's now in a *rush* to save Henry. It's not about a "Knight in shining armor" for her. It's about getting her son back because he was kidnapped by his douchebag Great- Grandfather to gain immortality. Seriously that's what this season is about, it's not a Hook and Emma show. That's part of her story but not her focus now.

Can we take a moment to just not appreciate how much Emma and Hook have grown alone but how much Charming and Hook have grown even to become friendly now! Charming even admitted that Hook is growing on him (which is A LOT for him to admit) Although I think the "protective" dad stuff is kind of BS, considering Emma is a close to 30 year old woman here and can take care of herself, I get that Charming still wanted to be dad to her that he never got a chance to be

Ahhhhhhh how far they have come!!

I feel that people calling Charming out are being shortsighted themselves. David is hella stubborn, where do you think Emma got it from? Not to mention, he literally JUST got his daughter back and now he has to deal with the idea of "loosing" her to someone with a centuries-old reputation as one of the worst villains around. He and Snow are really out of their depth here, it's kinda hard to stomach, because Emma's their baby girl but she's also grown up. But to them who have been stuck on the curse it's been just a couple of years. She should be a toddler. They're all struggling, which is why Snow is so ashamed to admit her secret in the Echo Caves. Cause she loves Emma but she really wants to be able to raise a baby herself. So much of her character is about loosing Emma that it's easy to forget Charming's feeling the exact same thing... I'm not saying he's right, I'm just saying I understand where his character is coming from.

Yeah Charming, and you were nothing but a Shepard playing prince.

It bothers me how David is so judgemental...I mean being a Shephard and all. I get it though...protecting his girl.

poor hook. he was just trying to let her know he understood, with no other ulterior-motive for once :( - but emma's walls are up. I think the fact that hook understands her so well is what's always scared her the most. and I hated how they (specifically David) acted like they knew him in this episode, when really they had no idea what he had been through. You can see how much that whole last part hurt him. The smug smile he puts on for charming is a mask for how much the "You're nothing but a pirate." actually hurt him. they keep reminding him of that but he wasn't always, as we come to see in this episode

I'm sorry but the relationship between Emma and Hook is still unacceptable!they had more chemistry in S2 and if they could continue that way it could be great!but No!sure this whole time,Hook was trying to seduce her but she wasn't interested in him even in platonic way and one episode earlier she said she still loves Neal!that wasn't even her main case of mind!all she wanted was to save Henry!no interesting in romance,sexual or even platonic feelings!not even family love for her own parents!just Henry!kissing just because Hook saved her father's life(which is still a mystery)isn't a good way to start!

Bless him he is trying anything to get close to emma don't worry hook by the end of series 3 you will be sharing your first actual romantic kiss and emma will start to give in to her feelings
