Recently I watched it over with a friend who had NEVER watched it! We would discuss each episode. She was so full of questions. I would just say stuff like, "that's interesting" or "I don't know we'll have to wait and see!" LOL. It was kind of like getting to watch it again for the first time. Best as I could. 😊 I love TVD. Wish Damon & Elena would've had more detail in finale tho.
This is one of the best played and most intense scenes in TVD. It feels so real. You can actually feel their tension. Great chemestry, great acting, love to watch this scene all over again.
sdidora5 ok well yah tbh lol, she is great portraying her character, the finale of s8 is the one that actually shows how good her acting’s are even if by that time it was awkward cuz ian was married with nikki, she did very great job and very professional I can see emotions unlike ian shame to say that I didn’t see any emotion from him at all in s8 finale he looked awkward af even the holding hands and his stares at her, it’s disappointing he wasn’t that professional there and didn’t put aside his awkwardness with her and portray the emotions of his character as far as i know damon would’ve looked more emotional and in his eyes more than that awkward stare lol. Anyways not hating on ian tho I think he’s a great actor.
When I first saw this on tv i was like omg finally i've been waiting 3 seasons it was definitely worth the wait and it exceeded expectations this was so passionate and beautiful I shed some tears this was epic for team delena
This is a perfect scene! I love Damon's surprise and the tender expression in his eyes when he catches Elena looking at him. He is often such a confident character but you can really see his vulnerability here. The tension between them is incredible and they built up to the passionate moment so well with the hand holding and Elena's reaction to it. They have the perfect balance between being nervous about their feelings and being passionate!
@@malena8100 I was thinking about all of the steamy scenes in the show and yes they might know that there is going to be music but just imagine kissing someone silently and hearing all the moaning and sounds lol... It just makes it alot funnier
Stefan never consumed her the way damon did. Even when damon was near her, it affected her physically and emotionally. This scene is proof of how a simple hand-holding act from damon can stir strong emotions in Elena that stefan's thousand kisses never did 😍😍😍😘😘😙😗😗Delena is epic, passionate and there is this forbidden aspect to them that made them so appealing to everyone. I think even the stelena fans somewhere deep down want someone to love them as passionately as damon loves elena. I agree damon did shitty things in the past but he changed so much for her that he even grew to love Stefan the way he loved him back in 1864 when there was no Katherine between them. Delena is truly epic in every sense of the word 😍😍😍😘😘😗😗
Hate to disagree but at the beginning of season 2 Damon wanted Katherine until she confirmed she never really loved Damon. Then Damon started chasing after Elena and even attempted to Kill Jeremy.
Amethyst Price i’m pretty sure damon liked elena before katherine told him that tho bc before that people were saying “you’ll do it for elena” knowing he liked her. especially since when they actually first met he told her to get everything she wished for!! which shows he liked him otherwise he would’ve killed her knowing him
s j h Yeah I agree with you there but if Elena looked like a completely different person to Katherine, he wouldn’t of had those feelings towards her at first same with Stefan unless Elena stood out to them in a different way. Think about Caroline and Bonnie how long it took for the brothers to grow a bond with them where as they immediately fell in love with Elena because she reminds them of Katherine but a kinder version of Katherine.

Noooooo I think stelena was the actual true love like in the books where they are actually endgame, however in the series the writers saw how everyone shipped delena and they kept it that way.
I think my favourite part of this scene aside from the kiss is at 2:50 where she starts breathing heavily, from probably lust and confusion. It's honestly spot on acting, this whole scene is perfection.
Watching this in 2020 makes me nostalgic. I love TVD and DELENA forever.. I remembered how i ship this two at the start and patiently waiting for them to be a couple a long the way. We invested a rollercoaster emotions in this series and I won't get tired watching it again. W😍💕
I love that the bad boy gets the girl, not honourable & breaks the rules, fights dirty but gets it done protecting his girl, Damon is the kiddie on the block !!!!

They are just so hot together. Who remembers the first season, when Elena tells Stefsn that she and Matt were not "passionate"? I adore Stefan, but the passion with Damon is off the charts! Delena all the way!

Oh, certainly. And all for it, great scene, and I definitely like this pairing better than (her with Stefan)...but not gonna lie--first articulate thought was, "Ohhhh, he's gonna kill Jeremy again!".
one of my favourite scenes....not just for obvious reasons, but because it's put together so well, the way she can't seem to breathe, like she's suffocating...really well directed. And I love this song so much. It's all so perfect.

Something I just realized while watching more recaps on episodes is that Damon really has been the one who has been there for her more often than Stefan. He has carried her away from horrible things more times. I can't even remember a time when Stefan did that though I'm sure he has. Damon has done so much more for her. And it's a more two sided relationship for them. They both make each other better. She and Stefan have the love but not the love and the fire she and Damon have.

When I watch this, my stomach begins to hurt, my eyes begin to water and my legs hurt from squeezing them together. This is so pure, there is so much passion and it hurts to know that I will never ever have such chemistry and that wild look in my eyes as Damon and Elena have in this scene. It's overwhelming. And a heavenly joy to watch, even with the ache in my heart.
It's the best scene ever for all Delena fans I think :)) I love this, in this one kiss is more passion than in all Stelena kisses, sorry Stelena fans but it's the truth. I hope we will see a lot of such Delena scenes :))
I believe that is just TVD's original score. They use that quite often in dramatic moments, like when they killed Jenna and the cemetery after Damon tells Stefan he got bit by Tyler and is going to die. They used it Thursday during Katherine and Elijah's last scene.
I agree! This kind of scene is the only reason I can put up with all of the almost-moments from before. I've never been one to get addicted to TV shows, but every time I watch a new episode, I end up feeling heart-broken or super-excited at the end. It literally has an effect on the rest of my day XD
