This piston door is for Java Edition only, this does not work on the Bedrock version. If you have any problems while placing the observers for example on top of these repeaters (1:40) crouch and click the repeaters with right click with the observer in hand.

Hey, I tried this tutorial but instead of 3x3 I did it 4x3 and for some reason one of the columns doesn't want to a line with the others while closing. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out with that. Thanks for the tutorial it was very helpful. Am subscribing cause all his tutorials are always very helpful ❤

@@TearsofaSourWitch Im having the same problem with a 3x3 door and its really annoying. It works when the button is closer but that riuns my plans

@@HD-TV hey, I was able to fix it by placing the button and all the redstone contraction one square further from the place he did it, for some reason the solid block under the concrete powder was sticking to the solid block with the redstone and causing the issue I mentioned above . Hope it helps you in anyway.

nice tutorial, but it would be helpful to know where the floor level is in relation to the build before the building process starts, because i built it 1 block too high my first time watching through edit: it didnt even work anyways lol

@dudley Gamer Why does it work for me in a 3x3 complicate and wiry setup then not working in a single module 3x1 door it opens and closes won't stay closed??

It works well, but I do have a problem where when I open the door, the top row of concrete powder breaks, leaving a three block divot in the floor and the door one row too short.

Trying now. Clear tutorial, plus it seems more compact than Mumbo's build. One thing: show *first* the required space starting from the surface, the door itself. I'm skipping from end to begin of the video to start building at the correct level. You put doors where you already made a hole, in real life, isn't? 😅

Damn, it works so apparently randomly! But it works! I'll resync everything now that I wired all the inputs. And, before, check what could be wrong with birch pressure plates instead of stone buttons. And if there's one input longer than 15 dust (the random working of three identical tiled modules is very suspicious) 1.16.1 Java approved! 🤗

Sadly it does not work in 1.12.2 in forge server, the bottom layer of [any gravity block] will break. I really wanted a garage door for my plane and heli

I mean... Yes it works, but you don't tell me where the front is at the start nor where the door is going to be. Really easy to accidently build the door 7 blocks too tall because you weren't clear at all

Build it to test in your Minecraft version in an open flat place. I tried making this under ground and it didn't work, but I tried above ground and it did.

This totally works well in singleplayer but i cant get the top two pistons to function well on a server. Its the game's fault, sometimes the sticky pistons dont end up retracting their block

It didn’t work for me. When the sand blocks fell they merged together and broke the top layer of blocks and i am in Java

Umm for the observer's ontop of he repeaters, Does the arrow need to be infront of you pointing up whike placing it?? When i placed mine down the arrows where in the right side.

I tried building it with the observers facing the wrong way and it all worked except one row of sand falls back down once being closed. Ive spend about an hour trying to figure out how he placed them that way.

Maybe you can do a timer activated on pulse. Clicking the button, then it activates a timer that activates it again, ill try to explain via image: i.imgur.com/BTRmFtv.jpg As you can see here, i added a timer activated by a button (the button you use in this video for activating the door) Once the door finishes opening, the timer ends and sends another pulse, which closes the door. Tested in 1.15.2
