You know I'm a Fenix guy but I also like Nitecore and this one is on my list. It's just that wow factor from that little light when you hit that 4,000 lumens. Great look bro thanks for the vid
I've had this light since it came out. To this day it's still my favorite out of my many lights. Most of my needs the 200 lumens is more than adequate. Out with the dogs and our area isn't necessarily the greatest, people on the street at all hours. Having that 4000 lumen flood to quickly blast an area to see the full picture has come in really handy and a couple times probably saved my ass, as i saw there were multiple people spread out coming at me at 2am and i am sure it caught them by surprise as they all momentarily froze and I was able to get back inside quickly.
Though it's a cool concept, 200 lumens at it's normal high mode is really far away from 4k. I'd like to see a few more steps in between like 600 and 1500. I still feel my Baton 2 and 3s are a better carry given their size, ergo, 2-way clip, and magnetic backend.
Agree, it's a nice flashlight and I like that they clearly state that it's a very short time on turbo. But it's not for me, I'm sticking with the warrior mini (500 lm for over 200 minutes if I'm not mistaken)
Had a bad experience with a Nitecore MH12 and was pretty disappointed. It collected some humidity inside the bezel and then ended up not wanting to cycle through the modes. I contacted Nitecore and they told me to contact the original company I bought it through. And they told me to contact Nitecore. So after getting the run around I just switched to Olight. Hadn't been disappointed yet for the money.
thanks for another great review HW, and thanks for clarifying all the details surrounding this kinda confusing model ...i like Nitecore, but this one i am a bit on the fence about cause of the boxy style. all the best !
I know the video is older but you did such a great job and this light is so cool I love the display it actually gives you all the information which I think is really cool they all need to start doing that all the companies needed to put a display in that is so cool 👍
Got this day one because I wanted a USB-C refresh of the TUP which also own and loved. What can be said about this light? It's an EDC 200 lumen light with a built in 4000 lumen parlor trick.
I was debating getting this one or the new EDC 27. But I don’t like how the buttons are on the bottom of the light on the EDC 27 so I will be getting us one.
As far as I know, the waterproof and dustproof performance of the product is IP54, but the C-type charging part is not blocked, but it is pierced, so I am worried that water may enter it This article may be inaccurate because it is translated using a translator
Hello i dont know about this battery but i have nitecore TUP light its similar to this but it only hase micro usb and some rubber part over but this is not blocking thr water inlet and i washed it twice in washing machine over 6 years i had it and all i can tell it works perfect still… i think this is waterproof aswell since is new product… but if you are so curios you can send them mail or something to know for sure…
I was gonna upgrade my keychain light that looks identical to this one except it's the 1000 lumen model BUT the 4000 lumen for 10 sec. Then drop down to 200! Lumens makes this light stupid! Especially at it's price point. Why the F would Nitecore drop all the way down from 4k to 200 lumens? I wanted it just for the type c but forget it. They should make maybe a 2000 lumen with 800 lumen or something smh
its apparently due to the heat generated by the 4000lm quad led array. to effectively cool down the flashlight it has to go down to 200lm or you won't be able to use the 4000 mode often cuz it'd cool down slower. There's a temp regulation chip in there that manages how much time you can spend on the 4000lm mode depending on the temperature of the light so even though its not shown here, you can't just spam the the turbo to increase the time limit. Each time you do the turbo mode the countdown gets shorter and shorter to make sure it doesn't get too hot. best way to look at the t4k is as a small 200lm edc that has a 4000lm "superpower" for emergencies.
What's keeping me from buying this is there's no middle ground between 4k lumens and 200. Where's 1,000 lumens? If you can hold 4k for 10 seconds, certainly you could do 1k for 30 seconds. Such a shame, I really like the concept. Probably going to go with the mecarmy ps16
Ohhhh jeez I was going to buy it because I didn't realize that... That makes no sense at all I mean wow it's large enough to easily handle a 1,000lm lumens for a duration ramping down to 500-600 where it should be able to run indefinitely.
It's a big body for 200 lumens. If the high was 500 lumens this would be a win. I would prefer to carry the Olight, plus you can replace the battery on the Olight.
non replaceable 1000mah cell? nah. I will skip it and get emisar d4v2. Same brightness, half the price, smaller (a little bit longer), can choose whatever tint I want, swap battery easily, better UI.
If they made this 2 to 5 times larger where it could sustain 4000 lm for 30 minutes, this would be worth the price, I did not realize it was so small and only had that much in turbo mode, it really sucks how Nightcore list their brightness in lumens only in turbo mode pretty disappointing😊
check out the Olight Warrior X Turbo. I hunted beavers with the Javelot Pro until the X Turbo was released. It's all i use now. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9vcj-K_t-Uw.html
