4,000 mile review on the TUSK Dsport Adventure tires I run on a Yamaha WR250F. I spend most of my time in the dirt, but will run down the road to get to the next trail. I attempt a very challenging hill with the slightly used Dsport tires to see if they can still perform.

I'm in Arizona and am currently running the MotoZ Desert H/T (110/100-18) & Shinko MX216 (90/90-21). I do ~ 85% dirt and 15% road. Still experimenting with other tires but I would definitely buy this set again. Don't stop making vids!

The Shinko MX216 looks to be an excellent economy tire. The reviews I read say it has good grip in loose terrain and doesn’t wash out from under the bike.

Emperor's New Groove! Would've been cool to see the roost behind you hitting that hill. I'm liking the SR241 from Shinko. Nice work!

“My acorn is missing” 🤣🤣. 🤔 roost shot would have been sweet. I’ll do that for the 5k mile review 🙂 Thanks MOBStreet

Just started watching your videos as I'm planning to move to Utah. I like your videos, nice and short and great content. Like the bike, product reviews, other bike comparisons and just that you get out there and ride. Beautiful state!

@@Rally_ADVentures I hear ya and understand completely! However, Utah is still 1/4 the population of the garbage dump that I'm trying to leave, Pennsylvania, and Utah is almost twice the size of Pennsylvania. The one thing I don't want to do is build a new structure, I would rather purchase an existing home and one as small or smaller than the one I'm in now. All I want to do is get lost riding my motorcycles and keep Utah from turning into a dump like Pennsylvania 👍😄

Hey Rowley. When the time comes, you should make a 5000 mile wr250f review video! Pros and cons about the bike and how you like it as a dual-sport.

Deal. I have around 5,500 miles currently. So that video is overdue.

I just put a set of these dsports on my dr650 and I have about 400 miles on them so far. I notice the front end gets a little bit twitchy around 80 - 85 on highway, but I think maybe it has lessened since the very first day. It immediately made my commute to work across a muddy farm field much more enjoyable. On a side note, I accidently installed the front backwards from indicated rotational direction, but I have and plan to leave it that way. I had also put a set of dsports on a DR250 the correct way, and noticed the squirrely nature of highway travel pretty bad. My 650 is not nearly as bad as that 250 was. Anyway, for the price I really can't complain and I don't need to be doing 85.

I reversed the rotation of my front Dsport on purpose for the last 500 miles of its life because of the squirrelly nature. The Dunlop I put on is extremely similar in tread pattern, it is also directional and it recommends spinning it opposite of the Dsport. I would like to try reverse direction on a new Dsport front. I got 4,000 miles out of the Dsport. Talk about bang for buck.

@@Rally_ADVentures i had concluded that it didn't wholly matter what direction I put it on, but I anticipate turning it around like you stated at some point based on wear. In any case, I'm really excited to see how long they live on my 650. I have high hopes. Thanks for the videos! 👍

Yup, liking my DSports too. Motoz Tractionator Fattie on front. They float well on the sugar sand down here in FL. Give us an update on the bike, what mods? What you like & what you don’t… -enjoy your vids!
@Rally_ADVentures

The Motoz Tractionator Fatty looks like a good front tire. Does it ever feel loose or like the tire wants to wash out from under the bike or does it have good predictable grip in the sugar sand?
@drmayerr
@drmayerr 2 года назад
Very good predictable grip. I crash a lot & it’s never because of this tire 😆. I run it at 14psi because I hate the feel of my rims clanking on roots. Never feels like it’s going to “roll-over” onto the sidewalls in a turn that way too. They’re okay on the road, I don’t push it on the pavement. My buddy with a Husky 501e just bought one after seeing mine float the sand then stick the soft corner despite my poor riding abilities. His tire, I forget which brand, was washing out on him bad on the same turns.

@@drmayerr I will have to try a Motoz Tractionator Fatty front. The TUSK is great for road running and cruising down dirt roads/trails, but gets extremely loose and unpredictable when riding fast and hard.

I just put that tire on my WRR. It was horrible to mount. At least watching this review I know I won’t have to change it for awhile.
@Rally_ADVentures
@Rally_ADVentures 2 года назад
I had a fun time getting it mounted also. I figured it was my lack of experience. I’m getting ready to get new tires again and I’m debating what to put on it. Possibly the Dsport in the rear but definitely a different front tire.

how are they on the road? I do a lot of road riding.
@Rally_ADVentures

I have done several rides that are several hundred miles per day. The bike does 80mph plus easily, but that little engine is screaming. I like to keep my top cruising speed between 60 - 65mph. Also, I like to get off and stretch after about an hour of road riding.
